Phew! It feels like June went by in a flash and I’m struggling to keep up with the months as they quickly fly by. With the kids out of school for summer, I suspect that July and August might feel like they drag by a little slower! Still, tomorrow it is July, but I thought that today I’d take the opportunity to reflect back on the past month of creative endeavors here on the Fiskateer blog.
Can you believe we’re already waving goodbye to May? I thought it would be fun to start a monthly round-up post to take stock of what has been achieved (and what hasn’t!!) over the past four weeks. I’d love it if you’d join me. Feel free to comment on this post with your creative makes from the past month and ideas for what you hope to do in June. Or link to your own monthly round up blog posts, so that we can all share in your successes.
This month has literally been a whirlwind for me. I blinked and it was over, which is a shame because it’s one of my favorite months of the year. Not least because it’s my birthday month!
I started out the month with full-force sewing for Tegenn. If you remember, I used a pattern rub-off technique I learnt from the book Patternmaking for a perfect fit by Steffani Linecum. I put what I read into practice by making some leggings for her. Then I made a Cat themed dress that she wore to the Cats Musical. We are going to see Joseph and his amazing technicolor dreamcoat in June. I’ve tried to persuade my son Lowen to wear a handmade technicolor dreamcoat of his own, to the performance. He’s not keen! I’ll have to keep working on him!
