Remember when I showed the vintage sheet music paper covered in Ice Resin before CHA?  I used the paper for these adorable wearable art pins.  If you've ever done a make and take with me, you know that I'm not a "by the book" teacher.   I much prefer to throw all the product out there, offer a little direction, and let everyone run with their ideas.  I snapped a couple of photos of completed pins, and you can see they're all a little different.  That's my favorite part of teaching, watching how everyone makes it their own.  Rebecca and Angela stopped by to do the make and take and offer support, so we snapped a photo together.

You can see some of the tools there on the table.  I provided two heart lever punches, one a skinny little prim looking heart and the other a puffy looking heart along with a few colors of glitter paper.  The birds were punched out with the new Jenni Bowlin Flight Squeeze punch also known as the Mocking Jay.  A bit of tulle tied with hemp twine softens up the pin.  The base is a vintage Rummikub game piece.  You can see that some turned the number facing out and some turned the number facing in.  These game pieces are still pretty easy to find at thrift shops and are a much lighter weight choice than a domino.  The whole thing is held together with glue dots and a self adhesive pinback.

It was a fun make and take and the ladies at the Ice Resin booth were so fun and talented.  I think you can see some of their designs behind us in the booth.  They make the most amazing jewelry and altered art pieces with resin.  I'm thrilled they asked me to stop by and share a little Fiskars love with the make and take.

{p.s...I finally took the time to learn how to make a collage photo in photoshop for this post. Yay me!}
