Post Content <p>CHA was a ton of fun as usual!  I always love seeing friends, Fiskateers, time with the leads, new innovations, inspiration and more!  It was absolutely an incredible time although it was a whirlwind.  I wanted to share with you and hope you enjoy some of the trends and new innovations I thought really stood out. </p> <p><em><strong>Trends</strong></em></p> <ul> <li>Still seeing lots of Chevron patterns - on patterned paper and more.  I even saw sweet Chevron patterns in clouds . . . Oh Happy Day collection.</li> <li>Honeycomb or quilting shapes seem to be a strong theme - embellishments, shapes, etc. (I suggested a punch a while back and thought it would be fun to mix the embellishments and a punch with this shape)</li> <li>Hot Air Balloons seem to be flying out there</li> <li>Asian themes are still gracing us</li> <li>Washi and decorative tape - still out there in full force</li> <li>Butterflies</li> <li>Banners are still a huge hit (Fiskars has that done in their last release huh?)</li> <li>Vintage is always the rage and one of my favorites</li> <li>anything mixed media</li> <li>Jewelry kits</li> <li>Canvas and burlap - flowers, bags and more (oh I love)</li> <li>Stencils and I love the new ones by Crafter's workshops . . . like a stencil inside a stencil</li> <li>wood - embellishments, buttons, books and more</li> <li>Birds are still alive and in flight</li> <li>Fiber Art (yarn, string - esp. Baker's twine and more)</li> <li>Bright colored collections</li> <li>Kids crafts</li> <li>Cake Decor</li> <li>Houndstooth and similar patterns</li> <li>Felting</li> </ul> <p><em><strong>Some innovative flair</strong></em></p> <ul> <li>Ms. Vicky's Custom banners and bloomers (as well as vintage bliss) see photo</li> <li><a href="http://shop.shoeatttitude.com">Kodak Shoe Art Film</a> - won an innovation award.  Coolness</li> <li>Graphics 45 ~ Olde Curiosity Shoppe collection with the cutest pigs and designs</li> <li>GCD Studio's ~  Splendor collection and it's vintage goodness and Oh, Happy Day with the cutest croquet theme</li> <li>Prima's lovely flowers and collections (always)</li> <li>Canvas Corps. Burlap bags and flowers (oh love!)</li> <li>Thermoweb's Glitter Dust spray</li> <li>AluMosaics by Jeff Ivanhoe.  Nicest guy who is an incredible artist.  He creates art out of aluminum cans and art it is! </li> <li>Tiffany Windsor's Cool 2 Cast Fiber Plaster</li> </ul> <p>It was lovely seeing all the 'new'!</p> <p>While the leads were at CHA, you were having a blast on-line here.  I so enjoyed coming back to the gallery full of lovely projects.  I also want to share with you some winners . . .
