Author: Angela #9 | Category: Crafts, My Life, Inspiration, Book Club | Posted: May 14, 2012 at 3:51 pm

So many Fiskateers have been enjoying Mark Montano's Fiskars Friday giveaways so I know he has a lot of fans here with us. I thought I'd point out the great book he just released. I am a little extra excited about this book because I got to contribute a little "blurb" at the begining. Anyway, it's a great inspirational book. Mark shares his concept of making vision boxes and the book is filled wit...

The Spring Stamp Out is just a few days away!  It's just like an online crop except that almost all of the challenges involve stamping.  It's my way of sharing my love of all things inky with you.  Get ready to stretch your stamping boundaries and get a little ink on your fingers in the process.   I'm still working on the challenges, but I can tell you that all of the prizes w...

If you don't know who Lisa Storms is, you don't know what you're missing!  Lisa is a punch genius and a member of the Fiskars Design Team.  I always look forward to seeing the cute and cool stuff she comes up with, and her ideas for a Mother's Day Tea Party are no exception!  How cute are those teacup rings pictured above?!?  I also love the table runner idea that she came up ...

Girl Scout Cookie Box Transformation

Author: Tami #804 | Category: Crafts, Challenges, Projects, Inspiration | Posted: April 30, 2012 at 11:00 pm

Photo
This little journal started out life as a box of Girl Scout Cookies.  Angela sent each of us a box to work our upcycling magic on.  I'm still on my no sugar kick for 2012, so Kyle happily ate up the contents of the box in his room to help me avoid temptation.  He's a good kid like that.   At first I thought I'd use the words from the box in my project in some way, but I never ...

Girl Scout Cookie Box Scrapbook

Author: Angela #9 | Category: Crafts, My Life, Scrap Life, Tools, Techniques, Projects, Inspiration | Posted: April 30, 2012 at 9:33 pm

I am so bummed! I had shot a quick Guilty Crafter video to show the steps of making this SUPER easy Girl Scout Cookie Box project but it didn't turn out well enough to edit. Suffice it to say- this is as simple as cutting up a few box fronts (and backs), using your favorite adhesive to create the size you want and then adding paper pages. I bound my book using my Bind-It all but you could just as ...

M is for Mom and Monogram

Author: Cheryl #2 | Category: Crafts, My Life, Tools, Techniques, Inspiration | Posted: April 30, 2012 at 12:47 pm

I recently went to a baby shower and made this M for a sweet baby on the way named Madalyn. I've made these for years and they are so simple and I got to thinking . . . what a quick addition to a Mother's Day gift. M can be for Madalyn or Mom. So I thought I'd share with you a quick how to if you haven't made your own. I kept this baby monogram simple but you could go all out with lots of layers of mixed media. I've made so many for others including my daughter I'm thinking of making one for me for my studio. They are so quick too. I created one years ago that I shared in Somerset Home . . . a sweet A for my Abby.

Here's what you need . . .

Angela's Girl Scout Cookie Box Challenge

Author: Cheryl #2 | Category: Crafts, Challenges, Tools, Techniques, Projects, Inspiration, video tutorials | Posted: April 26, 2012 at 6:15 am

I loved taking on Angela's challenge to create something from a Girl Scout Cookie box. What fun. I loved the project Stephenie shared . . . and I'm sure each of us will create something totally unique.

After weighing between making a purse, wallet or mixed media journal . . . I chose
