Our Master Gardener Chat will be Tuesday, May 26th from 7-8:30pm at St. Boniface Catholic School - 21 Markanna Drive; Scarborough, ON.  This is a free gardening education event and we would love to see you there.

Yeah, I know, I blogged earlier today… 

This is an important and fun announcement, however, that I just had to share…

The totals are in and the results were astounding… 

Bettye Branton single handedly did 76 Demos as a CFD last year.  In honor of her amazing and unbelievable dedication, we are naming Bettye Branton

The Certified Fiskars Demonstrator of the Year for 2008!

Bettye will get a box of goodies from me, as well as a gift card for $100.00 to her local scrapbook store.  So, if you know Bettye and want to make her day, send her a little note of congrats!

Now - this is a photo of Rebecca and I from this past weekend at our event in Kentucky.  We had a blast, but with all of the events of the weekend, we completed approximately 8-10 demos - bewtween the two of us and events held at the store by Debbie and Pam! 

If you did anything this weekend in the way of demoing, please please PLEASE be sure to log it in…  We would really appreciate it!

By the way - as of this morning, we are only at 100 of our 2009 goal - this means…  1909 to go!!!

On the CFD Yahoo! group, I have added two spring punch downloads for you. 

I am currently getting together some more projects to help highlight our tools even better for your demos.

36 demos have been done so far this year, and those 36 by 6 people!!!

So…  if you are a CFD and want to get out there, go for it!  We need to be doing at least 125 per month to make our goal of 2009 in 2009… 

Now, for motivation.  If you log 2 demos or more from January 1 through the end of February, I will draw a prize pack for the winner!  Come on people - I need ya!

The January project of the day is layouts (www.fiskarscrafts.com/projects) and we’ve had some fun pages from both our design team and special guests like Stacy Julian and Cathy Zielske- just to name a few (and more to be shown all during January!) Of course we’ve got articles on many of the NEW release tools coming out at CHA already (www.fiskarscrafts.com/articles) and new stuff going up all the time.

 In fact, I just uploaded this cool canvas article by Janna Wilson that has me itching to get out fabric + canvas!

I really miss being here everyday blogging and talking and thought that I would share a bit about what is going on with me…

First off… we have finally moved!  We are all together under one roof, almost done unpacking…  well at least 60% unpacked…  The boys are thrilled to be in a house with a basement.  You would think that we had given them the moon.  For a lot of people, it is probably still a small little ranch house, but for us it feels huge!  We are so used to being on top of each other that this has been a real treat.  I do have some pics on my blog if you want to see more…

The really cool thing is that I finally have a craft area… in the furnace room… but still!  Yesterday I made a lot of headway getting it cleaned up.  Still need to deal with lighting and boxes, etc… but I am feeling like it is really starting to come together! 

Next, I wanted to tell you that I am so excited to be able to do a little giveaway… a free entry to my latest adventure - a class at Big Picture Scrapbooking!  I am using a bunch of great Kimberly Poloson papers and embellishments to create a fun little class focused on your word for the year and/or your goals! 

So…  tell me your word and I will draw a winner on Wednesday night for a free class!

Finally, I just wanted to say thank you for all of your well wishes and prayers as we have made this transition as a family.  You have all sent the nicest emails and letters…  I cannot thank you enough.  For me, 2008 was a year of change - which was my word.  Who knew how true it would really be!  I hope that this year, “thrive” will be just as good of a word.  I hope your word suits you and that your year is the best ever!
