Hey, Mother Nature!… ENOUGH ALREADY !
How many of you have watched the Weather Channel in the last couple of days? Has the weather been the top story in your local news? When you look out your window, do you see any signs of life or does it look like a ghost town?
Most of you know I live in the Baltimore/Washington D.C. area. The sky is nothing but shades of white. My area has received more snow in the last 24 hours then it’s received in the last the ten years. Well, that might not be the most accurate fact, but it sure seems like it to me. So, today I’m taking advantage of the situation and I’m staying in doors. I think I’ve slept longer than my cat today. (Is that really possible?) It’s coming up on 5:00 pm, and I’m still walking around my house in my pajamas and big fuzzy slippers. So, since I was dressed to kill, I thought I’d hit a stamp pad or two.
I flipped through my stack of some of the new Fiskars items that were recently introduced at CHA. I grabbed the two new color shades of Fiskars Stamp pads, Copper Kettle and Navy Blues as well as a package of new clear stamps, Winter Wonderland, a set that is designed to fit several Fiskars squeeze punches. Along with those new tools, I grabbed a few other favorites, my Fiskars rotary trimmer, several squeeze punches and the Snowbubbles border corner punch.
And with those, I got a little creative and here’s just one example…
But I couldn’t stop there and I decided to create a scrapbook page layout. Now perhaps someone out there can help me with my next task…
Dude, where’s my car?!

February 6th, 2010 at 6:06 pmWe actually thought about you today…you are so snowed in ! We have been watching the videos on the weather channel and cnn - (and let me tell you the “pajama gram ” commercial is quite entertaining to Abbey…lol - it plays before the weather videos…) The snow is pretty but pretty amazing in inches. It sounds like you might get a bit more come Mon & Tues…with what is barreling through the rockies right now. Keep warm….I hope you keep your power to keep the updates. Great layout…what a mini album the snow photos will make !!

February 6th, 2010 at 6:10 pmOH My goodness. That is LOTS of snow. I SO WANT that new stamp set. It is so cool and I LOVE that works with the squeeze punch. Great LO!! I have found time to scrapbook some today also which makes any day a GREAT ONE!!

February 6th, 2010 at 6:17 pmThose winter stamps are so cool. It gives your layout a seal of approval (couldn’t resist saying that).
I tried sending you a snow shoveller to help but he said it was too cold for him.

February 6th, 2010 at 6:18 pmI sympathize with you only because I know you folks aren’t use to that itty bitty snowfall. LOL Honestly, that is really nothing for us who live just east of Lake Erie and just south of Lake Ontario. We’re famous for LES (lake effect snow), so 2 ft…nah…4ft..whoopee!….8ft… might snow us in for a few days. My advice, scrapbook, stay warm and safe, and lots of hot chocolate and if you have one…keep the fireplace burning. But down to business: I love, love, love the Dude page. What a great creation! Perhaps more snow is an incentive to do great things!

February 6th, 2010 at 8:34 pmI am feeling your pain - her in NoVa we got quite a bit of snow as well. I had hoped to spend the day in my craft room, but ended up spending most of it shoveling. I do love shoveling and I did get some fabulous cookies from a neigbor for shoveling out their front entrance. I also am finishing up organizing my stamps and removing all my rubber stamps from the blocks and coverting them to acrylic blocks. Wow, I can’t believe all the space I am going to save. Any way, stay safe and warm.

February 6th, 2010 at 8:41 pmLove your lo. No snow at all in the great northeast. CT missed it all. Not complaining one little bit though. Can’t say I miss shovelling or trying to find the car. Jammies and crafting are the only way to spend the cold snowy day anyhow!

February 6th, 2010 at 9:40 pmWe got snow here but it has been warm enough that the roads are fine. I am really tired of this crazy weather though and I am so ready for spring.

February 6th, 2010 at 10:02 pmROFL - sorry, know I shouldn’t laugh at other’s misfortune - what a sad but funny story & LO Wendy Jo!!! I cannot even imagine how horrid it must be with all the snow and everything sooooo cold!!! It is making big news over here is Australia, with headlines about “Snowmageddon”.
Hoping it is all over soon and that you & all our fellow Fiskateers stay safe, dry & warm

February 7th, 2010 at 1:17 amHi there!
I am in Northern Va. Our neighborhood looks like yours and it will take days to dig out of this. The next round of snow may come before that.
I took out at my Fiskars 2″ round squeeze punch this week and made some WordArt digital graphics that were especially designed to fit that punch. I love it - it’s the perfect size. These are so useful for making tags to go on cards, hang on presents.
Should I submit this to this site as a Fiskaateer project?

February 7th, 2010 at 11:13 pmCute layout. I love the title, I was cracking up! I remember a lot of mornings in our area (Buffalo/Lockport) being real ticked off that I had to dig my car out. Buffalo doesn’t close roads for nothing.
