Celeste #678
I have the pleasure of being a ’scrappy friend’ of Celeste #678. She is very talented, and a bit modest, too. Remember Simple Scrapbooks? Celeste’s layout was on the cover of the last issue ever. I was very excited for her!
When I asked if she would like to be part of the on-line crop, she sent this project to me super quick! So here’s a little bit about Celeste and her super cute project:
I live in Connecticut with my wonderful husband of ten years, Terry and our two cute boys, Adam (8) and Sam (6). They are my primary scrapping subjects and my sometimes unwilling models. Scrapbooking is my creative outlet. As a full-time competitive analyst at a large insurance company, my days are filled with details and numbers. My evenings are filled with patterns, color and design. A real stress reliever! My style has been consistently clean and graphic with a bit of funkiness thrown in for good measure. I love clean straight lines and lots of color. Don’t get me started talking about scrapbook product - I am a collector extraordinaire! I adore Fiskars punches and scissors - thanks for inviting me to participate in the crop Kelly.
_______________________________________________________________________
Using Photoshop Elements, I created a photo collage of these 5 photos of my boys making cookies. I added the text box to the bottom of the photo block using white text and filling it with red. I positioned the collage so that I’d have room at the bottom to add some patterned paper. I printed onto photo paper, added a swath of green to make the layout more festive using my apron lace punch to add a decorative border. A label at the top with the date and a brad and a bunch of Christmas colored buttons finished up the design.
Supplies: patterned paper (October Afternoon) + buttons (Buttons Galore) + Punch (Fiskars) + font (Century Gothic) + label (October Afternoon) + brad (American Crafts)
Thank You, Celeste, for sharing this beautiful project with us and inspiring us for those upcoming holiday layouts. Celeste shares tons of inspiring internet goodness on her blog, http://celestefs.blogspot.com/.
Would You like to win an apron lace border punch? Leave a comment here and I will draw a random winner on Sunday at noon, EST.
