Crafting in the Morning
Emily and Ben are very good sleepers, normally sleeping until at least 8:00 am. But these past few weeks they have been up at 7:00 on the dot! So this morning when I woke up at 6:00, I figured that I might as well get up. And guess what? They Both decided to sleep until 8:30! Oh well. At least I got some crafting done. Priorities, right? 
I finally finished this layout. I have had these photos printed and the basic design was set, but I hadn’t found the time to get the finishing touches on it. So this morning I went to work and I love it!
I used the Upper Crest border punch. I love layering this punch to help the border design pop. I also used my Fingertip Craft knife to cut the little monsters out of the October Afternoon Louie paper. Love these little monsters! Then I wanted to sew around the border but I didn’t have any orange thread. So I got a little crafty and dyed my white thread with my orange Staz-on ink. Very clever for 6am.

My favorite item these days is my Fiskars soft grip scissors. They are so comfortable to use and so precise! I’ve been getting into cutting things out lately!
I love your layout!!! I bought the same paper at the Inspiration Station and can’t wait to use it. I love what you did with it! Did you cut out those little alien guys or did you find cutouts? I love the 3-D look!

Since we moved to a smaller space though I have my supplies in different locations around the house, so I usually find that the one thing I am looking for is in the bedroom where someone is sleeping

My favorite time to craft is in the morning at 9 o’clock….that’s when all those ideas come to mind…maybe because the mind is refreshed from the long nights sleep!

I do my best scrapping on the weekends though. Give me a Saturday or Sunday with nothing else to do and I can create an entire book.

July 1st, 2009 at 3:23 pmoh…the night life is for me…but only for the peace and quiet that only night can bring…no phones, no kids, no husband, no mother (yes, she lives with us too). Most of my work is done in the early morning hours between 2-5am. I quess I have always kept that schedule because I used to work manage a country club where the hours were always late and then later worked midnights for the police department. I only need about 2-4 hours of sleep so I can roll all night. Thanks, Sharon #4066

I have less crafting time in the summer because I have a lot of outside chores to do. A lot of time while I’m doing my chores I’m planning out my card or layout so that once I’m done I’m all set to start crafting.
Don’t include me in the rak because I already have both these tools. They’re great, I love them both!

I have ALWAYS been most productive and creative from 7pm-2am !! Oh, I go to all day crops…and do pretty good…I just get into my groove later on. It seems that when I am at a crop, just when it’s time to clean up and leave…I am on a roll !!

Though given most of my stuff is now out in the garage its not the greatest thing to be scrapping that late at night out there - the last time I did was when my best friend came over and we were out there till almost 3am!

My favorite time to scrap is midday when the kids are at school. I like to sneak in a couple of hours before they get home. I can never get going in the morning and at night, I’m usually too tired.
