Nate’s last day of school was yesterday (he teaches 7th grade reading) so today is the first day of our 62 day weekend! We kicked the celebration off with a marching parade this morning; Emily leading on the drum. We have so much planned for this Fun summer!
The first week in July we will be relaxing on the beach in Cape Cod. I love the Cape and have not been there since before Emily was born so I think I am the most excited to share my love of the beach and sand and water with my two babies. I hope they like it as much as I do. These photos are taken with my first digital camera and the quality is not good. I guess I’m also looking forward to getting lots of new photos, too! And the last photo is from a whale watch boat tour!
In the middle of July, we have a family wedding that will take us back to my hometown of Lockport, NY for the week. Kim #5612 is getting a group of Fiskateers together for a Fun crop on the 19th. I’m really looking forward to meeting new Fisk-a-Friends.
And then the last week of July, I will be in Orlando with the other leads for Fiskars’ 360th Birthday Bash! and CHA. There is so much magic planned for this special celebration and I have a feeling I am going to be wide-eyed during the whole event. Disney and Fiskars… what could be better?
Add in our yearly trip to Fenway for a Red Sox game and my 5 year wedding anniversary and I’d say July is FULL!
Here is one of my most favorite layouts about our Summer vacation. I hope to have a new favorite, soon!
Do You have any special plans for this Summer?

June 25th, 2009 at 10:43 amMy husband and I are heading to Charleston..maybe this Saturday to meet my daughter’s to be inlaws. They live on Sullivan Island and I can wait.
I’m not a beach person so this time of the year is spent finding cool places to visit. I’m more into mountains and a cool breeze.
I really don’t have big family plans other than enjoying everyone coming over for grill outs and tons of family fun with everyone.

June 25th, 2009 at 10:53 amoh man, y’all are gonna be so busy! But FUN busy is…well, fun. it makes all the difference.
My only plans for summer is the Fiskars at Disney! I’m breaking the bank. If I die after that, all will be well.
the only thing better than Fiskars and Disney would be if Jesus Himself came back prior!!!

June 25th, 2009 at 1:56 pmSounds like a really full and fun July! We’re on vacation starting at 4:30 this evening and we’re actually going to the Cape this weekend! Last year we spent the week but this year we’ll just be going down for the weekend. We’ll also be spending some time at our family camp in Eaton, NY for the 4th…and to celebrate my husband and my 5th wedding anniversary. We’ll be going to a Sunflower Farm/festival in CT mid-month (have you heard of Buttonwood Farm?). I love July!

June 25th, 2009 at 1:57 pmGorgeous, fun layout Kelly Jo! Can’t wait to see the 62 day summer results–sounds like you have a wonderful, & busy, summer planned.
We typically vacation during outside the summer months. We have a backyard pool and enjoy (& maintain) it during the summer. MIL & FIL should be coming through for a visit in a week or so. And I have the Orlando party on tap for late July. I’m not worried about August because something always turns up!

June 25th, 2009 at 3:30 pmOMG - yesterday was the last day of school. I’d hate to teach where you are, we’ve been out since June 3rd. but then I bet you go back after Labor Day too - not here - I’ll be back on 8-10. Summer vacation plans for us includes a trip to Ohio for the annual family reunion and then to Cleveland for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Tomorrow I’m heading to Chantilly for GASC with Wendy Jo. Love the whale watch picure. Keep cool!

June 26th, 2009 at 5:56 amNice LO Kelly Jo. We are almost home from our 3 week vacation to Akansas and Tennessee. I’m looking forward to the Birthday Party in Orlando in July too, and then a Family Reunion in Washington in August. We’ll probably combine that with a camping trip to Oregon and Montana. A full summer I would say.
