August: Northern California Paperchase & Fiskateer Stay & Play Café- Mark Your Calendars!

Wow- we have so many fun things going on this summer!  I’m excited to announce that I’m heading off on another paper chase adventure.  This time, I’ll be visiting 19 stores from Sacramento to San Jose California and I hope to meet many Fiskateers along the way.   Just like the Northwest paper chase I did recently, I’ll be bringing small Fiskars goodies to everyone I meet and telling everyone about our Fiskateer program.  (and no, I will NOT be writing ON my car’s paint job this time!).

I’m also excited to announce that after researching a good place to hold a Fiskateer crop during this paper chase, Fiskateer #5489, “Lisa Pizza” who works for C & T Publishing offered to let us use the warehouse space at C&T Publishing in Concord, California.  We will be able to hold at least 50 Fiskateers and Lisa and I are working on creating a Stay & Play Café for this event.  We’ll be stretching your creativity by having mini Stay & Play projects with C & T Publishing’s products and Fiskars tools.  This will be much more than “just” a crop.  Here are some of the details we are working on:

*Stretching your creativity by trying new materials that we might not usually associate with papercrafting (think felting, mixed media, fiber arts, etc.)
*C & T will be hosting a mini warehouse sale where Fiskateers will be able to buy their products at a discount
*A Fiskars tool demo table where you’ll be able to use some of the most up-to-date Fiskars tools on the projects you are working on during the crop
*A swap-a-rama where we can bring our extra papers and embellishments to swap with each other.
*And plenty of snacks.

**************
Date:  Saturday, August 22nd
Time:  10 am to 7 pm
Lunch:  You can bring your own bagged lunch, walk to the nearby Dennys or ask me about pre-ordering a $10 boxed for the day
RSVP:  Email me at Angela@Fiskateers.com to reserve your crop space & to receive further details about this event as plans develop.
**************

If you don’t have time to join the day-long crop, please feel free to stop by and say hello, check out the stay & play projects and browse the C&T Publishing mini-warehouse sale (but still email me and let me know you’re planning on stopping by so we have enough supplies for you!).  You can check out some of C&T’s family of products here:  www.createandtreasure.com.  You might also want to check out joining their Creative Troupe- I speak from experience when I tell you it’s a great way to put all your Fiskars tools to good use!   http://www.ctpub.com/client/client_pages/creative_troupe.cfm

So what are the dates that you will be running around for the paper chase?

  2. Angela says:

Tona- I’m still trying to work that out. I’ll be busy getting ready for the crop with Lisa so that weekend is probably not gonna happen… I will probably do some of the stores on the way to the crop and some the next day. I can already feel that I’m going to run out of time before I see them all again! =) Are you coming?!

  3. Lisa Pizza says:

People!! This will be THE event of the summer! We’ve got quilting, cardmaking, scrapping, felting, sewing, painting…you will craft your cute little tookus right off! Can’t wait to see you there - C&T is soooo excited to be partnering with Fiskars for this event, thank you Angela!!

Have a great time and report and send pictures to us. Also, Angela try using vinyl that you can cut or run through a circut. It will stay on the windors easily.

Angela, I have plane tickets to France for August 23rd so I don’t think I can participate. FRANCE or a day or two with other scrappers? That is a really tough choice!

Concord is only 2 hours away, at that. I want to come so badly. I was hoping I would have been to Denver for my lung “repair” by that date, but my doctor broke his hip and my hospitalization got postponed until Sept. But I want to come!!!!! Insert here: Spoiled child-type rant stomping feet, etc.!!! I want to come!!!!
