It’s BIG, It’s Beautiful, and It Could Be Yours!

Do you craft on the floor because your scrapping space is just too small (like myself, Angela, and Pinky, hee hee)?  Do you wish you had someplace to store of all of your FABULOUS Fiskars tools? Do you long for a beautiful crafting space to call your own? Well, Fiskateers, it’s time for you to meet…. The Boomerang!

Just look at this beauty from down under!  Isn’t it amazing?!?  Just think of how much space you’ll have to craft, scrap, and even sew!  What’s even more amazing is that those wonderful folks from Arrow Cabinets are letting me give one away to a lucky Fiskateer!!! WAHOOOO!

Ok, while you’re catching your breath and wiping the drool off of your keyboard, I’ll give you a little 411 on the contest (ha, couldn’t resist that)!  Since this is such a huge prize (I think the retail is $999.99), I am going to make you work for it.  That’s right, you’re going to earn the Boomerang!  I will be posting a series of four challenges, some easy, maybe some not so easy-you’ll just have to play along and see!

Before we get started, there are a few rules-you must have room for the Boomerang at your house.  One of the conditions that will be placed on the winner will be that they must post photos in their Fiskateer gallery of the Boomerang in action at their house!  International Fiskateers are eligible, but they will be responsible for freight and tariff charges if they win.

OK, on to the first challenge:  Recruit a new Fiskateer!  This does not mean calling your Uncle Sal and asking him to do you a favor by signing up.  I want you to go somewhere crafty- your local LSS, a crop, a quilting show, another on-line crafting community - and find someone as passionate about crafting as you are.  Take a picture of your new recruit, and post it in your gallery.  If you do it on-line, have them email you a pic of themselves and post that.  Your new recruit must send me an email asking to join, along with your name and a few sentences about how you recruited them!  Once they are signed up, they need to upload a picture for their avatar.  Please make sure that you follow all of these requirements to a tee!  I will be keeping track of everything on my Boomerang spreadsheet, and I’m going to be tough!  You’ll have three weeks from today to complete this challenge, so the deadline is Friday, June 26th at 9 pm EST.  I’m giving you plenty of time, because I want your new recruit to be able to join in on the fun too!

WAHOO!

This is a photo of Stephanie from South Carolina. She caught Fiska-fever at a charity crop that was hosted by Fiskateers. Her request should be in your email box now. I told her what I was doing also and encouraged her to start the challenge with me when she joins. I hope she does.

(She just sent you an e-mail this morning)

I e-mailed you to ask if there are any requirements on where a Fiskateer must live (like if any countries are excluded)…I have a few more I’d like to recruit, but wanted to check and see if it was okay first.

  29. Hether says:

Hi Fiskateers! Hether here from Arrow. I wanted to drop a note to thank all of you for your nice comments left on our blog. Also I wanted to address Sady 1781 question above about not being able to find the Boomerang on the Arrow site. Sandy is correct it is not there. Arrow manufactures another line of cabinets called Kangaroo Kabinets and the Boomerang is from that line. The link to the Kangaroo site can be found at on the Arrow site or www.kangarookabinets.com.

  35. Colleen #2970 says:

  42. Nelda Johnson says:

Gosh, I would so much love this cabinet. However, I am disabled and can not go out to get a picture. I do not have a sewing cabinet, I have to sew on my kitchen table because I haven’t started to fix up a sewing room yet. Money is very tight. Any suggestions on fixing a room for me, would be greatly appreicated.
