My Homemade Gift

Last year, I made magnetic acrylic calendars as gifts for my family. (I can’t find a photo so I must have made them and shipped them off
) This year, there was a request for me to make them again. So Friday at a local crop I worked on my calendars all evening. (No peeking, Aunt Bobbi!)
It’s very simple to make, but there is a lot of cutting, measuring and gluing so it takes some time. I’ll share the instructions:
Create calendar page:
1. Cut selected sheet of Patterned Paper to 4” x 6”.
2. Cut monthly calendar to 1.75” x 3”.
3. Adhere calendar to right side of paper 1.25” from top.
4. Trim selected photo to 2.25″ x 3″ and adhere to left side of page 1.25” from top.
5. Repeat above steps for each month adhering February’s page to the back of January’s page. March and April will be back to back. May and June will be back to back and so on.
Decorate Acrylic Frame
1. Insert calendar page into acrylic frame.
2. Decorate frame as desired. I like to decorate the ’seams’ so any imperfections don’t show. The calendar and photo are in the same place on every calendar page, so be sure not to cover either while decorating.
Last year I added 2008 to the calendar, this year I left the year off so that I can just make refills in the future.
If you would like to make this calendar and need the excel document of the calendar, email me at kellyjo@fiskateers.com and I will send share it with You.
