In a State of Sugar Shock

I think it’s safe to say that I’m not the only one right now “in the state of sugar shock”. This past Saturday, over 70 SWEET Fisk-a-teers attended the Hershey Fisk-a-Friendzy in Hershey PA. It’s hard to believe that this day is now just a beautiful memory.
I know all of you are anxious to hear about our day, and several Fisk-a-teers turned it into a full weekend retreat. We had one Fisk-a-teer fly in for the event and a group from lower WV drove over 7 1/2 hours to join in on the fun. Matter of fact, we had Fiskateers from the states of Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, South Carolina, New Jersey, Michigan and Pennsylvania make the journey to become an official “Chocolate Covered Fisk-a-teer”.
Our day at the Hershey Lodge started with a few Fiskars goodies and the official page kit that I created for the day.
We then had a guest speaker, Kathleen Reid; author of a brand new scrapbook novel, A Page Out of Life.
The group also took a Chocolate Tasting course where we all learned the proper way to taste various chocolates. We were then introduced to our new Fiskateer of the Year, Debby Lewis. Followed by a Hershey’s Trolley Works Tour and visit to Hershey’s Chocolate World.
After a short break, over 60 Fiskateers returned to the lodge for some cropping time with tons of door prizes. During this time, the Hershey’s Kiss joined us for our group photo followed by a sweet treat of a flowing Chocolate Sensation Station Dessert Bar.
As you can imagine, we had a fun-filled, SWEET day. There was laughter throughout the day as well as many “hugs and kisses”. I know that new Fisk-a-friends have been made and each of us have had an experience that we will be sharing with families and friends for years to come through the scrapbooks we create documenting this day.
This event wouldn’t have been possible without all the love and generosity of Fiskars. I, on behalf of all the other “Chocolate Covered Fisk-a-teers” who attended this event say we say… “THANK YOU!”

You, Carrie and the Hershey Lodge executed the schedule flawlessly and provided everyone with enough sweet memories to last a lifetime! I felt like I was saying goodbye to my sisters on Sunday. I can’t wait to scrap this event and share my photos with everyone. I feel like just saying ‘THANKS’ isn’t enough! You were great!

Thank you Wendy Jo for putting forth so much effort to show us all a good time. I’m a new Fisk-a-teer and can’t believe what a wonderful community this is. Just wish I would’ve joined sooner.

How fun you all got to take a chocolate tasting course, boy wouldn’t I love to be teachers pet for that class. Thanks for posting the pics too, they are fabulous. I think it is great that each of the crops has its own personality and draws on the special gifts each area has to offer. Thanks again for sharing, I can’t wait to attend the event in Nevada this coming weekend. I wish you all could be there.

I just wanted to say thank you again-that much fun took TONS of coordinating, planning and lack of sleep on your part. It was so, so , so much fun and the town was very beautiful, the weather cooperated and it was just a great getaway weekend! Hope it was your first but certainly not your last PARTAY!
