Fisk-a-Packed Weekend (Delayed Weekend Update)

I am on a bit of delay posting about this past weekend. Our home internet connection was on the fritz for the past week so we had a technician from the cable company finally come out yesterday and in the midst of all of his technical questions (most of which I could not answer- of course my computer tech husband, who was at work, was not answering any of his phones), the 3 hours of incessant barking (Hamlet apparently is not a fan of cable company guys and couldn’t be convinced otherwise), the emergency, amateur ear “surgery” in the living room (Tabitha, bored while I was dealing with the computer questions and barking dog, absent-mindedly stuck a small toy in her ear which was only discovered & painstakingly removed after about 15 minutes of her blood-curdling screams) and the 2 subsequent back-up cable guys who came to join in the fun, it looks like I’m back to almost full-speed internet. Yay!
So- back to this weekend’s update: First of all, I peeked in on the online crop and it looked like everyone was having a fantastic time. We all appreciate May being able to step in and host one for the 5 of us Leads as we are in the final stages of crazy planning for our regional events. Kelly Jo and I were talking and both of us realized that our events are literally more planning than we did for our own weddings! We are so excited to share what we’ve been up to all of these weeks and we’re happy that you all had a chance to participate in the crop this weekend to help join in the fun (and do stay-tuned for more online crops and parties- you know we love them as much as you do- I’ve had a blast planning my first two as a lead and the Leads and I have more ideas in the works!).
As for me, I was at a 150 person crop at the University of Reno this weekend (The UNR mascot is the wolf which explains the photo of me and Joey Otolo who taught for Bazzill and Mary Osborn-Charles from Technique Tuesday and Donna Jean, owner of County Purr Farm in Carson City). I taught 3 different classes for Fiskars on Saturday and then I got decked out in my Heidi Grace inspired Halloween costume on Sunday to welcome each crop participant into my classroom (12 at a time) for a Halloween-themed make & take. I also took time to visit each crop table and talk about the Fisk-a-teer program so we’ve had several new Reno-area Fisk-a-teers signing up every day since (hi, everyone!).
Aside from all of the wonderful people I met this weekend, Joey was able to share samples of Bazzill with me so we could decide which Bazzill cardstock matches the Fisk-a-teers colors best. So, the next time you are scrapping a Fisk-a-teer event, I suggest Bazzill Bling in “Tootsie” and “Bank Roll.” Comment with your personal favorite Bazzill cardstock color (I love the names) and I will randomly draw the names of 4 Fisk-a-teers to win one of 4 “Enjoy Life” page kits from Joey’s Bazzill make & takes this weekend. But my granddaughter prefers TINY ROCKS to little toys and has to go to after hours clinic then sit in ER because after hours didn’t want to chance pushing it father in!!!!!! I’ve been a fan of Bazzill cardstock since I first started scrapping. I love the textures as well as the quality of it. Although I’m not great on names, my favorites are the browns (Java’s the name) & pink shades. I also love the Christmas colors. Oh, lets face it…I love all their colors.

Favs of Bazzill…that is really hard. I love all things Bling, especially Black Tie, In the Pink and Prince Charming. Also the Burlap and the Orange Peel line.

Anyway, I adore Bazzill, and my favorite is Bazzill Bling Tiara. I just can’t pass it up when I see the display at the store. Of course, the Black Tie assortment is now calling my name (I hadn’t seen it till I visited the link you sent.) I love the whole Pizzazzil Bazzill prints line, too. I go through those papers like mad!
