My Pink (and Orange) Saturday

I had a great time this Saturday. I was invited to demo Fiskars tools and talk about the Fisk-a-teer program at Scrapbook Cottage in Reno for their Susan G. Komen Crop Pink for breast cancer awareness. Everyone wore pink (well, except me- I like to be oranged-out when I’m demo’ing) and there were pink treats and pink silent auction items everywhere. Many new Fiskateers joined our community from this event and I’m looking forward to seeing them at my regional event in Virginia City next month. My favorite part of the day was a “bust” challenge. Teams of 2-4 dressed paper maiche busts with Cloud 9 tissue paper. I got to make the sample (see Zoila posing with my example? I forgot her cute new apron but she’ll have it on next event!). It was so fun to watch everyone get creative with their examples. Can you guess who won?
I loved watching this challenge so much- I’d like to do a challenge at my regional event. Any challenges that you’ve participated at a crop that you think would be fun for our Fisk-a-Friendzy?
P.S. The photo is of my friend and neighbor and active Fisk-a-teer Amanda #4550- if you ever want gossip about me, she’s the one to ask. She’s chatting with new Fisk-a-teer friend Janel #5140. You can meet them both at the Virgina City Fisk-a-Friendzy.
