what time is it? (almost) PARTY TIME!

We’re just under 2 weeks away from the fisk-a-teer on-line Fisk-a-friendzy/on-line crop/party/legendary crop/SUPER CRAZY FUN EVENT!!! Are you ready? I am almost ready. I need to gather a few more prizes and finish up my make ‘n take. In this post I’m going to share with you all (most of) the challenges that will be happening during our fun day, and also some other details you might want.

 

So, what is this all about? How does it work? It’s simple, really. You already know and love this site- checking in here at the blog for inspiration, the message board to chat, the gallery to see projects, and the chat room to talk with fellow crafting friends around the world. We’re going to do all of that, plus you know that by logging in on Saturday, October 18th even MORE fisk-a-teer friends will be here, prizes galore, extra inspiration, more chats, well just really more everything!

 

I describe an on-line crop as a chance to virtually connect with crafters while cropping at home. Of course if you aren’t able to craft on that day please DO still pop in and say hi. There will be fun stuff going on the entire day- so you won’t want to miss out! If you’d like to see a schedule of the chats (and for a link back to this post in case you want to see it again) view the fisk-a-teer calendar. I’ve invited the design team, friends at fiskars, and all your current lead fiskateers to join in the fun too, so you never know who you might see!

 

*** THE CHALLENGE INFORMATION ***

For all challenges you need to post your creation in the gallery here at fiskateers.com by 8pm PST on the 18th of October AND post a comment on the “challenge #___” thread that will be started early that morning. I am giving you the heads up/rules of the challenges here, and will repeat this information in the posts about each challenge right before the crop starts. There will be prize winners drawn for each challenge- but you’ll have to wait to find out what those prizes are!

Challenge #1: Create a card or layout from the http://www.fiskarscrafts.com/ sketch for October. (links to both right there on home page)

 

Challenge #2:create a craft project that has the following items: button, ribbon, cardstock, something with a sparkle (glitter or sparkly/glittered item), a stamp, ink somewhere applied directly to project, and one or more fiskars tools used. You CAN use anything else you’d like as well, but you must include all of the above items.

 

Challenge #3: “lift” a project from either the fiskateer gallery OR http://www.fiskarscrafts.com/. When you post it in the fiskateer gallery be sure and tell us who you lifted! NOTE: None of the challenges have to be a layout. You are free to create at will!  

 

******* there will be one quickie “day of” challenge too… you’ll have to wait for that one! ******

prizes:I have a few items here to give away… ok, it’s more than a few. 10 is the bare MINIMUM of prize boxes being sent out. Yes you heard right, BOXES full ‘o fun. I’ve also got a dozen boxes of Cloud 9 vellum flowers, some scissors, and… and… oh you don’t want to miss out! Random prize threads will be started on the message board throughout the day. All prize threads relating to this crop will be in “on-line crop” section of the board so you know where to look.

Ok, so I told you about chats, prizes, and challenges. There is more too. I’m posting a project with full instructions, I’ll be interviewing members of the fiskars DT and posting them here on the blog, there will be chatty threads on the message board… and… well I think you get the idea. This is one HUGE PARTY!!!!
