October 5th, 2008 at 10:34 pmAngela, I must say, you’re very interesting to watch.
You’re just like me. I feel inspired by others’ projects and enthusiasm about sewing, so I think I can tackle any sewing project myself. And pssst…they don’t always turn out like they should. But hey, at least we try, right? But, still, best of luck and I hope your costume turns out perfectly.

October 6th, 2008 at 5:38 amIsn’t it funny how we are so inspirred by television shows we watch. I’m hooked on Dancing with the Stars & watching it makes me want to learn to dance. Unfortunately with rheumatoid arthritis & some other issues, dancing is about the last thing I can do. But then I can dream….
I love your choice of fabric..I want to sew too now. lol Keep us posted, I can’t wait to see how it turns out.

October 6th, 2008 at 8:09 amWishing you much success!
I’m sure it will be wonderful but if not…wear an orange tshirt and wrap the fabric around your waist and wear tights underneath!
I saw that fabric at Joanns, they had an outfit made with it, it is quite gorgeous!
If y’all keep this up, I may have to brave something myself but I still have horror memories of being in 7th grade and sewing class!

October 6th, 2008 at 10:13 pmYou go girl! I’m impressed. What a great dress. Love the HG pins and your fabric.
A one hour project would take me about 1 year (or more). About 3 1/2 years ago, I bought a sewing machine. I started making 3 bandannas for my pups. I still haven’t finished the 1st one.
Oh, well. My husband did use my machine to make a cushion for the rocking chair he made. Boy, his craft projects put me to shame!
Lene says:
October 7th, 2008 at 4:53 amGood luck! I’m sure your dress will be just as cute as P’s overalls!
