How I Procrastinate

Honestly, I don’t even have enough time to write all the ways I am adept at procrastination. I promised myself I would have the whole house clutter-free this evening for example so naturally, I decided it would be more fun to write a blog post. But a huge way I have been procrastinating lately is checking out www.etsy.com (pronounced, I think: eht-see). Oh my stars and bananas they have great stuff over there. For those of you who were Fiskateers back in January, you probably remember the bracelets we found for the Lead Fiskateers on Etsy- It’s so fun to see Cheryl and the Legends wearing THESE. I find SO much inspiration at Etsy. Some of what I see inspires me to try my own hand at a particular craft I hadn’t thought of before (I have every intention of bringing out my soldering kit again soon!) but I also try to buy there to support the sellers. Check out this shop I found tonight: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=32016 I “need” that trailer and hedgehog stamp! So enable me. Do you have some favorite Etsy shops to link us to? Even better- do YOU have an Etsy shop we should be admiring? Please comment soon before I am forced to head back downstairs to tackle the bottomless paperwork clutter pile!
P.S. For those of you who were following my quest for the cell phone of my dreams (and you also kind of have to know the show “Flipping Out” on Bravo)- Zoila is in the house. Another fantastic way for me to procrastinate! I am posting this next photo to inspire Rebecca because I am trying to convince her to make a tiny apron for my new iphone. Ha!

September 30th, 2008 at 12:32 amI think your iPhone really needs it’s own crafting apron
I visit etsy about once a week but I just browse, not particular stores I visit.

September 30th, 2008 at 1:38 amNope no Etsy for me which is why I know there are 96 pages of vintage Halloween and it takes several hours to go through them all. I will say this I have found several shops that have the gorgeous German glass glitter, paper lace, millinery pins, etc. at way much better prices than regular stores on the internet.
Etsy-no never hear of it- I WISH!

September 30th, 2008 at 4:25 amHa! That photo of Zoila reminds me of vacuuming the walls on the ship! LOL They were carpet-clad, and we did it just for laughs and picture purposes, but non the less we had to clean some weird things if you ask me!

September 30th, 2008 at 10:33 amI find that I get more “other work” done when I am procrastinating so it all balances out in the end (I write better when I am procrastinating on doing something else too…go figure)

Thanks for sharing the Etsy Shop Link! Cool Stamps!
Also, I have a great book for you to read. It’s hilarious! Title is simply “Procrastinator’s Handbook”. From one procrastinator to another, it’s a good read!
