**Winner Chosen** - Cool Sewing Tutorial-Pinky’s Flowers!

In case you’ve missed it, it’s National Sewing Month! I’ve asked all of our Fabulous Fiskateer Sewing fantics to share a little bit about themselves and some of their projects with us! Our first one is from Pinky!
OK I am Pinky Hobbs aka Cristal aka MOM!
I started sewing when I was 10 but did not sew much until I was 23 and decided I would suddenly make my own wedding gown, and I did! I also made my husband’s vest and tie.
I began again because it was so important to me that my special day be created by ME! And since then I have been sewing ever since every day!
My favorite Fiskars tool is by far their scissors, yes its old school but I love me a good pair of shears!
OK this project is perfect for not ONLY scrappy embellishments but fun for additions to little girl dresses or anything really!
They are scrap flowers….raggy scrap flowers. They age so well and get a nice raggy look if washed. Plus they are EASY and quick, and use old scraps, the ones too small for anything else! Waste not want not right? Specially these days!
You begin with squares. 4 different graduating sizes. No pattern needed just eye it and snip. No need for perfection either!
Now take each square and fold as shown.
Fold over3 times and cut a rounded edge and open…WALLA flower!
On the #2 and #4 squares I snip into the flower for added dimension.
Now piece the first 2 together and the second two together.
Fold them slightly and bunch then in the middle and sew across the back side just on the edge. This gives it a real flowery look.
Attach a button to cover the middle and you are done girlfriend!
Easy peasy and you have FREE embellishments for life!
Great job Pinky!! I love these! And I love the scissors strategically placed in the photos, and I love the skull fabric! Speaking of skulls and scissors, leave a comment here and I’ll pick a random winner on Monday, Sept 29th to receive a pair of the Lucky skull scissors from Ink by Steph!
Louise #3903 you’re the winner! Email your address to rebecca@fiskateers.com!
