Online Party Coming this Friday-Sunday and I have Accessories for You to Wear!

To celebrate our participation in the Creating Keepsake’s Reader’s Choice Awards (and you still have until midnight tonight to take this survey- just read the details on my prior blog post HERE), the Lead Fiskateers will be popping on and off the message board with challenges, chats and prizes during the day starting Friday Sept 19 through Sun Sept 21. I was thinking about how we could really get into the spirit and I decided to write to Katie Pertiet who owns my personal favorite digital scrapping site: www.designerdigitals.com and see if she’d make us our very own digital Fisk-a-teer party hats to add to our avatars this weekend. As busy as she is, she thought it was a fun idea and immediately designed something custom just for us! So if you are digital savvy, please do download these free Fisk-a-teer digital party hats (notice Katie used green and orange!) and change your avatar for the party. If you’re not digital savvy, you can read the tutorials at www.designerdigitals.com or you can download the party hat images, print them out just like any photo or image and then cut and paste them to a photo of yourself, photograph that and upload it here at Fisk-a-teers.com (or ask one of you digital friends to help you out). I will randomly choose 5 Fisk-a-teers this weekend who are wearing these custom party hats to win a prize box so do get started! You can go directly to the party hats by clicking here (and leave a comment when you have your hat on!)
Katie thought you might also want too add borders or other fun digitial elements while you were getting into the spirit of the party so she is offering all Fiskateers 10% off any purchases you make at www.designerdigitals.com through 10/31/08. You can buy as much and as often as you like until the deadline. The coupon code you need to enter at checkout is: c4e7d9. I can’t wait to see everyone looking cute in their hats. P.S. A lot of you guessed those ScrapFest feet perfectly but even the rest of you were partially correct. These were Stephenie’s feet but they could have been any one of us (Rebecca, Cheryl or me) because after running the maze of Mall of America several times and going back and forth to the hotel (and even a 20 minute shopping spree to Ikea when we decided our booth needed more orange), the fabulous Suzanne Walker of Fiskars TV fame (and the PR and Marketing wonder woman of Fiskars) took pity on our poor feet and bought us matching orange Nikes. They were so BRIGHT and funny, I think our shoes had more photos taken of them than anything else at ScrapFest!
