Sweet Butterflies

As you know, all five of the Lead Fiskateers have been busy planning their regional events. I have been taking several trips to Hershey in the last two months getting ready for my event.
One of the most peaceful places in Hershey is the Butterfly House at the Hershey Gardens. When I walked into the butterfly house for the first time, I was amazed by the variety of all the butterflies fluttering by me. Occasionally, one of these beautiful creatures would land ever so gently on me and hitch a ride while I strolled along the brick path within their home.
Since my Fiskateer regional event is planned in November, I thought I’d share with you some of photographs I captured during my last sweet adventure to this beautiful attraction.
Between now and November 1st, I will be sharing not only some of the wonderful attractions in the area of my regional event, but I’ll also give some hints to what’s in store for the Fisk-a-teers who have signed up or who is considering on attending the event I’m hosting in Hershey.
Now for some fun for everyone reading this blog… I’d love to see some photos of gardens in your backyard or your local park. Post a garden photo or layout in the gallery by September 13th and post a comment here so we can all take a look. I will pick a winner and send them a Fiskars Butterfly Shape Template. (You’ll love this template… it’s my favorite!)

September 5th, 2008 at 6:26 amUnfortunately, I don’t have a yard conducive to growing plants. It’s completely shaded by trees. But, I’ve been to Hershey Park several times but I’ve never known that there is a garden there. I love those butterflies, how sweet!

September 5th, 2008 at 8:00 amI posted layouts of the waterfall that my dh built earlier this summer to go into the pond he built last summer. He worked so hard & already has plans to expand again next summer! But your pics make me want to add Hershey’s to my bucket list & sad that I can’t be there for your event.
