Different Baby Milestones this Week

With Kelly Jo bringing home HER darling little baby this week, it reminded me that I have a story about my baby too. Tabitha turned 5 this summer and this Tuesday is something she’s been eagerly waiting for all summer- riding the bus! Last week was nothing short of kindergarten torture for her (but Fisk-a-teer Christina’s sweet, sweet card to her was a highlight- thank you!) because we had to see Parker off on the bus every day since 2nd graders started a week before her class. This week, she FINALLY got her chance and I’m happy to report, the bus driver totally got the whole kindergarten mom with a camera thing and paused for a moment while I snapped off, oh I don’t know the EXACT number but a million frames might not be too much of an over-exaggeration. One thing I’ve learned is to try and take photos on non-occasions too so I had my camera out today for day 2 of the bus and it was worth it- I caught this photo of both of my kids holding hands while waiting for the bus. TOO cute. I’m so glad I didn’t hesitate to bring out my camera again today even though it wasn’t that special FIRST day because this is my favorite photo of the million I’ve taken.  So I challenge you- bring out that camera on a day you wouldn’t normally think of as special.  You never know…

P.S. The best part of kindergarten so far? Tabby’s teacher found me today to tell me she loved Tab’s bento inspired snack so much, she had photographed it. A teacher after my own heart!

That is adorable. What a loving brother to hold her hands. Congrats on capturing the moment.

My daughter started 5th grade today and I too took tons of pictures. I think this is the last year she will let me get away with following her to class with the camera.

Awesome picture! I love the way you framed it and that stitched heart is adorable. I would love to have a picture like that of my oldest two, but they fought so much (but they’re good friends now).

I never thought of what the K bus driver endures, so thanks for putting their job into perspective. How cute. Open door, snapsnapsnap, pause, snapsnapsnap, wait, snapsnapsnap, wait, snapsnapsnap, smile, snapsnapsnap, wave, snapsnapsnap, close door, snapsnapsnap, roll eyes. :P

How sweet to see that big brother is there for his little sister. That is just a priceless photo. I still snap pictures of my high schooler on the first day. She was groaning and acted a little embarressed, but I reminded her that she only has 3 more first day of school pictures to endure.

Enjoy it…it won’t be that way for long! (if they’re anything like my kids!)

    They sure are cutie pies!

    Hugs!

You have the cutest kids and what a great photo of the two of them.

You are setting the bar for the other Moms in class to make a better or at least a prettier snack for snack time which is a good thing because snacks should always be packed with love!

That picture is truly priceless. My oldest was 18 when I realized I did not have a single picture of the 4 of them together. I decided that was what I wanted for Christmas. They managed the picture but 2 of them walked home from the mall because they started fighting the minute it was over. The Waltons we were NOT!
