Long Weekend Wrap Up

Just a few things to wrap up this weekend. First of all, I am happy to report that our first ever Fiskateer CIA Mystery Guest Chat was immensely popular and fun. I still don’t know if I read even 70% of what everyone was typing (but hey, that’s still a passing grade!). I had been threatening to “Out” this super talented guest- she has been on so many magazine covers and still works on quite a few top of the line manufacturer design teams and Rebecca Peck #411 our Mystery Guest still manages to put in a lot of hours as a lead Fisk-a-teer.
Secondly, I am posting the links to the Fiskars CIA logo contest tomorrow. You can find them scattered about the gallery but I’ll consolidate them and we’ll all pick our favorite(s). As always, you have been SO creative- I LOVE it!
Thirdly, I spent the day with my neighbor, friend and Fiskateer #4550, Amanda in Virgina City putting together a photo slide show for those of you going to the Fisk-a-Friendzy regional with me on November 8th. We had so much fun and decided that the location truly is a photographer’s dream location. I took about 150 shots and have loaded a few for you all to get an idea of what you can look forward to if you spend the weekend with us. We’ll mostly be cropping but I will be encouraging you to take breaks and explore this photo-worthy area. This week will also begin National Sewing month- do check the calendar. Rebecca has set up some really interesting events that you won’t want to miss.
And last but not least, I will also be posting a “Make a Fisk-a-Friend” reminder- we need to reach out to new Fisk-a-teers who haven’t added a profile picture or any “friends” to their profile, don’t you think? Just scroll through our newest members, ask to add them as a friend and send them a nice note, won’t you? If they’re stuck about adding a profile picture, just have them write to me at Angela@Fiskateers.com so I can send them directions. My goal for this week is “No more blue people.” =)

I’m so bummed I missed the chat. We didn’t get back in town in time. Sounds like it was great!
Virgina City sounds beautiful and I can’t wait to check out the slide show.
