All Hands On Deck the Queen Mary - So Cal Regional Event

All hands on deck for some Fiskateer fun aboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California.  Report with me, your captain, Cheryl Waters and your Fiskateer crew for a fun filled day, Saturday, November 15th aboard the historical and beautiful Queen Mary.  Aboard the U.S.S. Fiskars (a.k.a. the Queen Mary) you will find fun ship activities that include games, inspiration, photo opportunities, prizes, crafting, food, ideas, special guests and spending time with Fiskateer friends.  There will be lots of ’sharing the Fiskars Love’ aboard.  After our first port aboard the Queen Mary, you will be traveling and docking at the nearby ‘Aquarium of the Pacific’ where you will encounter an unforgettable underwater experience that is so scrapworthy.  So dawn your sailor’s hats and favorite Fiskateer sailing gear (orange and green) and try your hand at a prize for best dressed sailor.

Extend your stay aboard the Queen Mary and choose to stay overnight.  You can find accomodation information and a bit of history about the fabulous Queen Mary at www.queenmary.com

If you want to anchor at nearby local accommodations . . . once you have your passport (are registered) I can give you some suggestions.

For those sailors that might get seasick . . . no worries . . . the Queen Mary is stationary.

To register simply email Carrie at carrie@brainsonfire.com to reserve your spot and include ‘Southern California Regional Event’ in the subject line.  Include your name, address, Fiskateer number, and phone number.  One email per registrant.   The U.S.S. Fiskars is limited to 100 sailors so act quick . . . if you can make it here . . . the boat is waiting for you.  There is a special gift for the first ten Fiskateers that register as well . . . so don’t miss the boat.  More details to come once you are registered so locals, East Coast, Midwest or Southern sailors . . . gather together for a boat load of fun!

I’m sitting here trying to calculate all the possibities, ie: drive all night, convince DH to bring Billie and wait for me at a park somewhere, etc. I don’t have much hope, but I thinking.

  26. Maxine Hodges says:

Oh, how I wish it was possible to come to So. California, but I’m in WV. During WWII, my dad was jammed with thousands of soldiers and transported across the Atlantic to participate in the European battles. He was one of the first tanks ( he was the driver) at the Battle of the Bulge. He said he was sea sick the entire trip. I can’t even imagine the emotion that seeing that ship would make me feel. My dad was a hero, in many ways. Everyone there have a great time.
