Join the CIA

My Fisk-a-teer friend Amy Harle (hi Amy!) and I were chatting about how much we liked it when Fisk-a-teer Legend May would do the “3 Fiskateers” blog posts. She would send 3 Fisk-a-teers products and then post photos of what they made. Well, I’d like to bring this idea back with thanks to May (and Amy) -with a twist. I’m thinking we can call it the Fiskars CIA (Crafting Intelligence Agency).

**If you think you’d like to join the CIA, this new agency is looking for recruits**

Make a world of difference.

The Fiskars CIA’s Clandestine Service is the cutting-edge (literally) of Crafting Intelligence. It is an elite corps, providing vital information needed by Fisk-a-teers to protect the crafting interests of our online community. For the extraordinary person who wants more than just a challenge, the Fiskars CIA offers a unique opportunity that challenges the deepest resources of an individual’s creativity, self reliance and responsibility.

Do you have what it takes?

You need to be a Fisk-a-teer with a passion for crafting. All levels of crafting experience are considered. You must agree to receive mystery packages from the CIA director (Angela). Once your mystery package has been received, it will be your responsibility to create covert projects that you will photograph and send in to the director of the Fiskars CIA (Director #009) to post here on the Fisk-a-teer blog.

How do you join?

Prepare an email with the following information:

Name

Agent (aka Fiskateer) #

Home Address

Crafting preferences (sewing/cards/layouts)

Color Preferences

Tool Preferences

Send to Angela@Fiskateers.com

Wait for further instruction.

Because of the classified nature of our work at the Crafting Intelligence Agency, the application process is a lengthy one. Depending on your specific circumstances, the process may take as little as one month or more than a year. If you are contacted for a special CIA assignment, your results will be posted only with your agent number. We want to protect your identity (and give other Fisk-a-teers the fun of researching who you are).
If we contact you about a position, be prepared to undergo a thorough background investigation examining your life’s history, your character, trustworthiness, reliability and soundness of judgment. We also examine your freedom from conflicting allegiances, potential to be coerced, and willingness and ability to abide by regulations governing the use, handling and the protection of sensitive information. The Agency uses the polygraph to check the veracity of this information. The hiring process also includes a thorough mental and physical medical examination in relation to performing essential job functions. (okay, not really but this is what the REAL CIA would be telling you)

Bonus Program: I am looking for an appropriate logo for the Fiskars CIA. I have created a seal based on the real U.S. CIA seal but it’s not that cute. As an added bonus to this program I will be sending out a special prize to the individual who creates the best Fiskars CIA logo by Monday, Sept 8th. Just post a photo of your best design in the Fiskateer gallery (paper or digital) and add a link here in the comment section by the due date.
