Fiskateer Live Chat Tomorrow Night

It’s time for another Fiskateer Live Chat Tomorrow Night!

We have a special guest for this chat, author & home decor celebrity Mark Montano.  Mark is best known for being part of the design team for TLC Networks show While You Were Out.  He has also appeared on several shows on the Style Network as well as writing several articles for magazines and newspapers. Mark has also authored several books including this one…

This book is filled with all sorts of inspiring crafts including:  Paper, painting, sewing, homemade bath products, paper-mache, and much, much more!  What’s super cool about this book is that the projects are quick and easy and most of them are created from stuff just sitting around your house.  For a packrat like me, this book is awesome!

As you can see from the photo placed on the cover of this book, I met Mark during CHA Chicago last month.  I was working at the Li’l Davis Designs Make-and-Take table and up walks Mark.  He grabbed one of the Fiskars Squeeze punches right off the table and said “I love this tool!”  And my immediate response to him was “But have you seen all the new shapes that Fiskars is coming out with?”  His eyes got big and said “New shapes?  I’ve got to see them!”  So I did what any Fiskateer should do in such a situation.  I grabbed Mark by the hand and took him over to section of the Fiskars booth where all the new squeeze punches were on display.  Before you knew it, there we were testing out the new scallop squeeze punch shapes.  It was a pretty cool moment, the two of us standing there picking out our favorites.

So, I guess you can imagine that I’m really excited that he will be our special guest for our chat tomorrow night.  For those of you who have never participated in one of our chats, I guarantee that this one will not disappoint.  Mark is not only talented, but very funny too.  And I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if there is a “special surprise” given away during this chat.

So join us on Monday, August 11th, 2008.  8:00 pm Central/6:00 pm PST/9:00 pm EST.  Here’s the link…

The Fiskateer on-line chat last night was a blast! Mark was an awesome guest…he’s very quick with the keyboard. Loved hearing about his favorite projects and the book he’s working on too.

We gave away three great prizes during this chat including two of Mark’s favorite Fiskars tools and one lucky Fiskateer in attendance was picked to receive a personal autographed of his latest book! (Congrats to Peg, Vicki and Katie!)

If you missed this one, keep your eyes on the Fiskateer calendar. You’ll never know who our next guest or what our topic will be for our chat next month.

I can’t believe I missed this. I think I need an alarm with about 38 settings to keep me going. Oh well.

  13. Patty 2832 says:

Shucks! So sorry I missed it! The chats always run a little late for me, too much family stuff going on these days!
