My Turn…Highlights of CHA

Throughout this past week, the Leads have been sharing some of our favorite memories of CHA Chicago with all of you. Now it’s my turn.
Fiskars had a little Hollywood/Cinema theme going on throughout their main booth area. We Fiskateers had the glamour bling thing going on with our super cool rhinestone shirts. Popcorn and small boxes of movie concession stand candy were available each day for our quick little intermission breaks when we got the chance. There were even movie style posters based on various new Fiskars releases for the show.
There were plenty of photo opportunities and autograph seeking too. Several Fiskateers in our community helped jumped to the opportunity to make 35 handmade tags featuring new papers from several of the Fiskars family lines. Participants in this project were directed to leave a little white space on the front side, just enough room for a celebrity autograph. I signed up to help with this Random Act of Crafting project and the papers randomly sent to me were from the new Spooky Halloween line by Li’l Davis Designs. So, throughout the show, Fiskars gave away exclusive engraved scissors and with each pair, recipients selected one of those tags handmade by a Fiskateer to collect their autograph from one of the product line celebrity creators. So, I managed to slip away from my make-and-take booth (which just happened to be Li’l Davis Designs…frightfully delightful candy filled library pockets…super cute and yummy!) for a few minutes in hopes to find someone standing in line waiting for Trish and Brian to sign one of my tags. And wouldn’t you know it…the first person I saw who grabbed one of my tags happened to be a fellow Fiskateer! Pretty cool, huh?
…and here are just a few more of my favorite photos with some Fiskateers at CHA…
I do have more to share…stay tuned for some layouts I’ll be posting in the days ahead!
