Award Winning News
We have some exciting news to share with the Fiskateers! The Craft and Hobby Association selected the new Fiskars Push and Print Stamp Factory as winner of the coveted 2008 Innovation Award - Best of Class for Scrapbooking and Paper Crafting.
I had the opportunity to work with this great new tool all day during the Fiskars Finest event at CHA. This is one amazing tool! Just like the two Fiskars Stamp Presses, the Stamp Factory allows you to lay out your entire project on a removable plate (3″ x 4″) using multiple clear stamps from any company. The Push and Print Stamp Factory also has built in slot that holds a high-density pigment ink pad (available in 12 super cool colors…all named by Fiskateers!) When both the stamp pad and the stamp plate is inserted into the Stamp Factory, with one push on the top of the tool, users create a self-inking image that can be used over and over without any manual re-inking. (Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that there are 9 new Fiskars Mini Clear Stamp sets with card and invitation themed images sized perfectly for this new tool too!)
For someone like me who creates over mass quantities of duplicate cards throughout the year, this tool is sure to be one that will get a lot of use. I can’t wait till I have one of my very own. It will definately cut down on time not having to manually re-ink custom design images on every card or project.
The starter set comes with the press tool, one stamp plate, one high-density black pigment ink pad (Still of the Night) and two stamp sets (How Many Candles? and Gracias, Merci, Grazie) and will be available in stores in October. So, dare we ask the question, who wants one? To celebrate this award, we have one Push and Print Stamp Factory to give away to a lucky Fiskateer! Leave a CREATIVE comment to this post and we will select a random winner on Sunday, July 27th at 9:00pm Eastern Time.
Congratulations to the Fiskars team for this huge award!
EDITed on 7/28: Due to powerful storms that hit my area over the weekend that knocked power out in my area for over 5 hours, I’m finally catching up on my list of things to do. We had a lot of creative entries for this contest, and now this contest is closed. I used the website www.random.org to select our random winner of “Frankie”. Congratulations to: SusanH (comment posted on 7/23 at 8:50pm) Please send me an email with your mailing address, you’ve got a new toy heading your way!

July 23rd, 2008 at 5:35 amThis sounds like a wonderful way to introduce people to rubber stamping. So many people are afraid to stamp in thier books. Now they can lay out a design, stamp and see if they like it before reproducing it in thier books, thier friends books any book!
Debby 2852 says:
July 23rd, 2008 at 6:40 amThe Stamp Factory is awesome. I flipped over it. Being card “challenged” this is a tool that will help me be creative in my thank yous and birthdays etc. I certainly will not have to “push” anyone into buying this one. Matter-of-”fact”ory, I’m already selling them before they’ve hit the stores. This new innovative product will leave it’s “stamp” on the industry for years to come!
Louise #3903 says:
July 23rd, 2008 at 6:41 amThis does sound like one AMAZING tool especially for us cardmakers. It also would be fun to use this to make tags especially when going to a crop…………or to make bookmarks which I tend to slip into cards as an extra something. The only sad part is October seems soooo far away!!

A creative comment huh? This would be great for mass producing cards, but it would also be great for making a lot of tags (say for CHA)… or to create your own customer journaling block for pages… or for teachers, who need a place to make comments on school work. So many possibilities!

You’ve won an award at this years CHA,

You made them all ooh and ahh and even say wow
You’ve done your job well so now take a bow.
Then pack your ink and stamps and come to Virginia,

Just wanted to add - this is an AWESOME tool. I was lucky to demo it during CHA and after 8 hours I can only say - it is PERFECT! You need one like this! BTW, Heidi Swapp loved it and brough her own stamps to try. Oh, and the last thing - the acrylic plate is actually 3×5.

July 23rd, 2008 at 9:29 amDearest Frankie,
I truly enjoyed meeting you and spending time with you this weekend. When I first met you it was as if I always knew it was YOU who I was looking for!
When I first laid my eyes on you it was love at first sight. No one else could do for me what you could! The first time my hands touched you they tingled from excitement! It just was just so RIGHT! So EASY! I couldn’t believe how simple it was to use you, and the fact that I could make multiple cards one after another after another it was a dream come true! Then to find out how simple it was to change your colors and stamps….I was in LOVE!
Although our time together was short I know we were made for each other. No one can do for me what you can Frankie! I NEED YOU!
Come home to me Frankie! We will live a good life together! You and me and my amazing collection of acrylic stamps! Just think of all the cards we could make, all the projects, it would truly be crafting paradise on earth!
I love you and miss you,
Betsy

July 23rd, 2008 at 12:39 pmHmmm, creative huh?
Lets think of all the possibilities-
You could stamp all over your body making it appear you are full of tattoos! Or better yet, do it to someone else!
You can scare your mail carrier by forgetting the return address label and showing up at your mail box with the Stamp Factory making an evil sounding laugh as you move towards the envelope.
You can clean off all the ink and stamp impressions into your childs sandwich before placing it in their lunchbox!
You can buy two of these babies and strap one to each leg and jump around giving your floor a brand new design!
Or you can use it as suggested and create some magnificent masterpiece cards!
Tona says:
July 23rd, 2008 at 12:45 pmWow! Sounds great & to win an award on top of it.
*With this stamp factory I will use to make some cards. Now when I ink it will not stink. It will be where it belongs. Instead of my cards looking lame they will all look the same. This poem was so bad I hate for you to see my name. But I am glad that to the blog I came.

Me in my Fiskateer atire

I just settled down at my desk,
for a long night ahead.
Then suddenly a thought,
as my brain took a chatter.
If only if only I’d won
that incredible stamping thing.
My night would be quick,
my cards would be slick.
if only if only had
that Stamp Factory I’d be done in lickity split!!
Thanks Wendy Jo..that was fun.

It’s calling my name…each time you press it down it’s saying “Diane, Diane I can make your cardmaking so easy”…it’s getting louder…and louder…I can hear it…those voices telling me that I NEED the new Fiskars Stamp Factory. (We open on Susan happily playing with her new Fiskars Push & Print Stamp Factory)
Susan: I’m so happy, I’m pushing and printing. I loooove those Fiskars people!
Evil Ogre: Give me that Push & Print, little girl!!
Susan: Shriek!! No, you can’t have it! Please don’t take it away!! Oh no!!!
Evil Ogre: Hand it over!
(we hear the big, handsome, strong prince coming through the forest)
Handsome Prince: Step away, Evil Ogre! Leave Susan alone!! That Push & Print belongs to her! I will slay you now!!!
Evil Ogre: Not you again…fine, I’ll go. You always beat me, I just can’t win with you.
Handsome Prince: That’s right Evil Ogre - I’m big and strong and I will always beat you!
(Evil Ogre disappears into the woods)
Susan: Oh, thank you, Handsome Prince! I knew you’d come. See?! I’m making cards with my new toy that say “Some day my Push & “Prince” will come…”
(groan, that was pretty bad, but hopefully creative?)

When I have this set, the first thing I will do is create a special “Merci, Gracias, Thank You” card and tag, using Fiskars colors of course, and keeping the plates permanently designed.

July 24th, 2008 at 11:56 pm“The gallery was filled with plants and flowers that she had personally selected… The plants were arrayed with tiny sparkling lights, to remind him of the clear Chicago night when they first met. The roses were swathed in a filmy gold drape. Bremarie and Lorriane’s Lillys were freshly delivered to the gallery and provided a perfect accent to the stunning gallery walls. The music hummed softly; it was a new composition called ‘Still of the Night’
Each element of the gallery was perfect, as perfect as she dreamed this evening to be.
Where was he? How could he be so late? Her heart, once so filled with the inky scent of him, was being chipped away with each passing hour. Did she do something to drive him away… to drive him into the arms of another?
Dismayed, she turned to her sanctuary, a tear in her eye. As she moved down the hall, a shadow crossed the porch and she rushed for the door! Their eyes locked and their hands met as she reached for the pen. ‘Of course I’ll sign for the package!’ she said.
Frankie was home!”
It’s late… I’ve just finished some ‘lite’ reading
Can you guess the author?
