24 Hours

Last night all my husband could keep saying is- “It’s amazing how your whole life can change in twenty-four hours.” Last week my very beloved father-in-law had a stroke. We all rushed to his side and kept vigle at his bedside waiting for his recovery only to learn the next day that the stroke was considered catastrophic and there was nothing that could be done. Since then we’ve been holding on to each other trying to get though the days and events that have followed.

My last post I blogged about the little book I made for my mother-in-law of our week before at the beach. That book has meant a lot to us as we have remembered our last time together as a complete family. We have also found comfort in going though all of pictures we have taken recently. It had made us appreciate the time and effort we spend taking pictures and doccumenting the special events in our lives.

Today is the funeral and I am hoping that it won’t be long before my next post. Thank you all for your kind words, well wishes and prayers expressed over on the message board.

p.s. Jennifer Church- Thank you for the beautiful flowers!

I’m so sorry for your loss Holly. My father passed away when I was 11 and back then they didn’t take the pictures that we do today. I wish that I had better pictures of my dad but sadly that isn’t the case. Fortunately you had the wonderful weekend together that you documented in your mini album that is sure to be treasured by your mother in law. It’s at a time like this we realize how important it is to spend time with those we love. Take care of yourself & my thoughts & prayers are with you all.
