Treasure Hunt… of sorts!!!!

Do you have an AC Moore in your area? Are you up for some fun? Well have I got a mission for you!!! Fiskars decided to go to Fiskateers to help with storyboards to represent their new lines at AC Moore. Myself and my team worked for two solid weeks to create boards for 125 different stores across the country. It was a lot of work to duplicate all those projects and create the boards but is was also tons of fun.
Here is a sampling of one of the projects from the specialty papers board.
This is a sampling from the Cloud 9 stickers board.
Now we want to include you in the fun. We have signed a limited number of boards with our Fiskateer number and name in the bottom right hand corner. The signatures are very small so you will really need to look close. Be one of the first fiskateers who finds one of these signed storyboards and tells me whose name and fiskateer number is on it and we will send you a prize package of new Fiskars products. There are some really great projects on these boards so you will definitely want to see them all. Good luck everyone!!! Let the hunt begin!!!!
**Edit: Some of the stores seem to be a bit behind schedule so before you drive a long distance lets give them a couple extra days. All the new boards are white so any other colored boards are the older ones. Can’t wait to see where the first ones will show up!!

June 18th, 2008 at 10:35 pmThey were putting up the paper today at AC Moores so the storyboards will not go up until tomorrow or the next day. They really tore up our scrapbooking area to make room for Martha Stewart products.
I won’t be there until Saturday, but I look first thing.

I didn’t know about the special signed boards, but I hope there are a TON of them out there and there are opportunities for a lot of Fiskateers to get prizes!! Good Luck everyone!!

June 21st, 2008 at 1:07 amOkay, here is MY story without a board…..I went to the AC Moores about a hour and a half away from me in Fredricksburg, VA. Could not find any storyboards but found the beautiful paper. Sooooo…I spoke to the manager who told me that there was some Fiskars storyboards in the back but they just hadn’t been opened and put out yet. She was so nice that she went in the back, took me with her, opened the package and brought out the storyboards. We both looked over the entire four boards, which by the way were beautiful, but could not find the first signature or number. I have pictures to prove it…hehehehe. Anyway, my trip was a bust for the treasure. Good luck everyone else…though it was kind of exciting to actually go through the whole adventure even though I did not find anything.

June 21st, 2008 at 4:52 amI went all the way to our AC Moore and was heavily disappointed-they moved to a new space 2 weeks ago and haven’t finished unpacking..they downgraded their scrapbook section and believe it or not, there was NOT ONE SINGLE scrapbook layout or board posted in the whole store…sorry Fiskars, but they hardly have any of your products anywhere and trust me, I looked. I walked around the whole store for about 90 minutes. Reinforces the reason why people don’t like shopping there.

June 21st, 2008 at 7:21 pmJust got back from the Shrewsbury, NJ AC Moore. They had only one board up with 2 cards and 2 layout on them. One was a sister layout. The board it was on was black and no signature or number. Will try to check out the 2 near my work on Monday.

), plus a Cloud 9 one and a Heidi Grace one, but none had Fiskateer #’s on them. 
I checked the journaling on all of the layouts on them, peeked inside the cards, no luck. I ran (or rather hobbled with my plaid cane 
) up and down the aisles 3 times to no avail. So disappointing. I’ll have to go to the one across town later this week. Wish me luck!

June 24th, 2008 at 1:58 pmI went back to AC Moore’s today and was very dissapointed to find out that our store is closing. They have only been open 3 months but apparently not do well. The staff said the they will not be putting up any display boards, if they even received them.
On the bright side I got a great deal on papers, stickers and etc!

Not a display board to be found, they are very busy getting ready for Ms. Stewart to arrive, and are revamping the whole scraping & stamping sections. June 28th, 2008 at 11:57 amI hit my local ACM and found the colored signs - no signatures on the green or pink but if I”m looking for white ones, then my store still has the old ones up. They are in the process of revamping the stamp and scrapbook section so I can wait.

and was on a Cloud 9 board with a super cute football raindot LO and sunshine tag.
