Hello Fiskateers! I know I promised another challenge and this is a good one, perfect for you. With out saying too much, here it goes. A bunch of us at Fiskars just installed a huge garden in a well deserving neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago, Altgeld Gardens. Being that Altgeld is a historical landmark, we felt it perfect for a good garden makeover.
Now this is where you come in…..this is so exciting!!! We have so many pictures from the event and have no idea what to do with them. Your challenge is this, being as creative as you can, thinking outside the box, with no limitations create a scrapbook page using photos from the event. The photos can be found at http://gmedia.fiskars.com/altgeld/slideshow/ , remember there are no limits, the only rule is to use pictures from this site, the page can be any color, size, shape you would like! Stretch your imagination:)
Besides haveing their entries posted on the Fiskars Garden website, winners will receive the following
1st Place- 3 Piece Tool Set
2nd Place- 2 Piece Tool Set
3rd Place- PowerGear Pruner
Winners may be asked to send in their acual scrapbook page. I am excited to see what you’ve got! We are very excited about this project so encourage your freinds and family to visit the website and check out the pictures, half the fun of gardening is getting to share it with others.
Downloading How-To: In order to save the pictures to your computer, select the picture you would like to use and left click it. This will open that individual picture in another window. Once that picture opens in that window, you can than right click that photo and a drop down menu will appear in which you make the selection to “Save Picture As.” From here you decide where you would like to save the photo to. Once you’ve done this close the window you are working in and open the photo in whatever folder you saved it in.
The deadline for this challenge will be the end of the day July 2nd!! Good Luck:)

Call me challenged but how do you get the photos…I tried to right click on photo but saving it was not an option to choose from drop down box. I also didn’t see any options to capture pictures. HELP!!!

July 7th, 2008 at 6:55 pm[…] July 7, 2008 by calonghorn Fiskars Garden group issued another challenge on the Fiskateer blog. Although they said to do a scrapbook page, they also said there were no limits and to be creative as possible. So I did a little thinking outside of the box and decided a one page or even a double page LO would not do this topic justice. I created a paper bag mini album with the photos I downloaded off of their site. For the journaling, I used some of the article I found on the Fiskars Garden site which talked a little bit more about the event. Here is the project I created! […]
