You’ve Been Caught

The other day I was in my local scrapbook store.  I walked in and started to look at the new products which included some backordered ‘Midnight Kisses’ from Heidi Grace.  As I was browsing, I heard one of the young employees sharing about ‘Cheryl and the Fiskateers’.  This is a store that I’m on the creative team and that we have held different Fiskateer events . . . Timeless Treasures.   As the girl was sharing about Fiskateer events, tools, products and the fun folks that are in the Fiskateer community, I peeked around the corner to say hello.  She gave me a big grin.  She was sharing with a man who had come in and dropped about $500+ that day on scrapbooking supplies.  The man and I then engaged in a conversation about the community, scrapbooking and his wife.  She was on bed rest but was looking for a hobby and he wanted to support her in doing so.  Apparently his wife just gave up her career to become a stay at home mom but needed connection as well with other women and crafters.  He took my card and was very excited about sharing.  I look forward to meeting this gal.

This was so awesome of this young employee to share.  She’s a sweet gal and it was awesome that she has caught the ‘Fiskateer wave’ and wanted to enrich someone’s life.  Because I ‘caught her in the act’ of sharing the Fiskars love I rewarded her with a goodie I had in my trunk . . . a craft caddy.  If I ever catch another ’sharing the love’ you can bet I plan on sharing with you as well.

This is a wonderful place and I feel the love.  I love you Fiskateers.  I am looking forward to sharing with you in the next couple weeks.  I have some fun scrapbook celebs that are planning on sharing some projects with us using Fiskars tools and consumables.  They are a talented bunch.  Stay tuned friends.  Group hug!

That is just so cool of not only you but that husband should get big kuddos from us all! You do miss the socializing when you become a stay at home person it is very hard to adjust to being away from people all day! Nothing like a girl time. . .

That’s so cool to run into someone speaking so enthusiastically of the Fiskateers. Sometimes I catch myself sounding like a “born again Fiskateer”, myself. ;) I wish there were some cards or something I could give other people so they would remember to join. I suppose I could make my own, huh? Orange and Green ATC’s with the web address on it. Oooh. I gotta get on that! People are so funny, they’re like “so what is it?” “How do they have an online crop?” (I rave about those the most!) “Do you have to pay for it or something?”

How cool is that? I love stories like this. You’ll have to let us know if you meet the man’s wife…hope she is ok, and gets caught by the “scrapping bug”! I can definitely relate to the career-to-SAHM transition that so many women struggle with. She’ll have a ready-made circle of friends if she joins Fiskateers!

Boy, what a great guy too. If my hubby bought me $500.00 in scrapping goodnes I would probably go to the doctors to make sure I was healthy LOL
