What Are You Working On?

These are a few layouts I did on National Scrapbook Day. Like I mentioned . . . I was so thankful to get a lot done. It felt so good. These are just a couple. The first one is a Hambly transparency using my Fiskars squeeze punch in two different shapes for the squares. The scan is not that great but I think you get the jist. It’s a clear transparency with some gridlines. Some of the squares are also raised with Fiskars 3-D foam dots. I just happen to have some tickets in my stash that day too and a puzzle piece in Chuck E. Cheese colors having to do with pizza.
The second layout is one I did several weeks ago using Heidi Grace’s Day Dream Believer . . . also a favorite of mine with it’s browns and oranges. This layout is about our (Holly, Stephenie, May and I) first trip to Madison, Wisconsin . . . Fiskars Headquarters when we received our engraved Titanium scissors. The experience was pure bliss.
I’ll be sharing some more here in the future. I’d love to know what you’ve been working on . . . have you posted in the gallery recently? Are you scrapping a certain event? Working on a specific album? Working on a project?
I know one thing you could probably use while working on any project . . . some adhesive. I’ll pick five random winners and send you some of my very favorite adhesive and maybe some foam dots too. Each time I use it in a class . . . people want to purchase it. So comment here and I’ll share some adhesive with five random winners.

I was trying to figure out how not to make just any ole Chuck E Cheese Lo, thanks for the new ideas. I am doing a Circle Journal with some other Ladies and I finished my pages for that and am working on pages of the kids that I keep for their parents for the end of school. Then who could not use more adhesive, I seem to go through so much of it.(LOL)

May 17th, 2008 at 10:23 pmHi Cheryl,
I love your layouts and I am off to start working on an album or 2 or 3.
I am working on an album with my puppy pics. Well she really isn’t a ‘pup’ anymore but she will always be my baby. We get the liter together every year for their birthday then I make each person a small album. It is a nice way to watch the liter grow up.
Hope your weekend is wonderful!!

May 18th, 2008 at 12:56 amI was auctioned off at a fundraiser 8 months ago to do a 12×12 20-page scrapbook for someone. The person that purchased me is a dear friend and I get to do her grandson’s pictures (from age 1 minute old to 1 yr old). A year ago I got to do her granddaughter’s (from the same ages) What is so special and difficult about this is my friend’s husband (the kids’ grandpa) passed away 6 months ago, so I’m doing some very heartfelt and tough pictures taken of him and his grandkids for his wife. She doesn’t know I have all the pics I do. I feel honored to do this and can’t wait to see her face when I get finished.

May 18th, 2008 at 7:36 amI posted a layout of my grandaughter last week & her obsession with golf balls. My next project is our recent trip to New Mexico so my dh could bowl in the Nationals there. It has been tough finding stuff to do with bowling but I recently found some paper & bought some rubber stamps online with bowling balls. Its’ funny that no matter what layout I am working on it brings back all the memories of that day or time & it is such a good feeling!

May 18th, 2008 at 7:44 amMy current project involves a major cleaning out of the stash I cleaned out two years ago and downsizing it into a smaller scrapbook armoire from part of our office area. I feel like i will scrap more if I am closer to my family and not tucked away upstairs, so its been a good way to also get rid of a lot of stuff I havent used and find some things i forgot about! And once i finish that, I am starting a few pages about our newest addition to the family, our second pug, Marley.

May 18th, 2008 at 12:13 pmMy girls and I will work on their autograph books for school. They get yearbooks every year, but there isn’t a lot of space for autographs, and sometimes kids can be messy, use marker, scribble, etc., that I don’t really like them getting signatures in these books (well, not at this age 10 and 12). So, we make CUTE autograph books instead! Now that I have my Bind It All, they have the coolest books around! I’ll post them when we’re done!!
That photo of you with your scissors is just fantastic! The look on your face IS bliss! I love it!

May 19th, 2008 at 12:20 amI started a mini album for May’s spring tradition challenge on Friday and finished it yesterday! I’m really proud of it and I can’t believe it was completed that quickly.
I’m thinking I might be able to rig a hanging device of some kind.
And I could suuuuuuure use some adhesive.
Today I attended a class where we made some cute cards and a cute little decorated tile thing I’m not quite sure what to do with.
This evening, I made a bunch of ATC’s from the leftover scraps from the album I finished yesterday. Then tomorrow, I’m helping a friend make bags for her bird show judges, and if we finish early, we’re working on our dog albums. Tuesday, provided my back holds out, I’m going to a friend’s to make cards for the swap here. That’s far enough in the future for now, but as you can see I’m on a bit of a roll.
