Something new…

There is a crafting passion of mine that I have never posted about here - jewelry making.  Mainly because I haven’t done it in a while.  I used to love making bracelets, earrings, and necklaces.  Then today, I got a package in the mail that had my jewelry brain hopping!

I got a package of really cool acrylic stuff from D. Reeves, which included these 1 inch charms.  As soon as I saw them, I knew I would be crafting tonight!

Here is how I took my scrapbooking stuff and my jewelry stuff and used it all together!

dr2.jpg I cropped and printed the photos in one inch squares, then punched them with the squeeze punch.

dr3.jpg  I covered the backs of the photos with some fun Kimberly Poloson paper…

dr4.jpgdr5.jpg I used spray adhesive to adhere the photos to the paper and then the photos to the charms.

dr6.jpg  I then grabbed my punch to put the holes into the charms.

dr7.jpg  I added rub-ons to the backs of the paper on the charms for a little more color.

dr8.jpg The final product…  a fun little scrapper’s bracelet!

Oh, Steph, that is really cool! I’ve not done anything with acrylic yet, but you’re sure giving me ideas. I think it would be fun to put weathered-looking botanical prints on each charm, too.
