i {heart} my iPhone

I have never really blogged about it because we all know they are expensive little things and didn’t want to sound like I was bragging. (To be honest, Matt has an account with Apple and we are making monthly payments on it because we couldn’t really afford it, either!)
It has, however, become somewhat permanently adhered to my body. I love it. I am, in all honesty, addicted to it and should probably join some sort of 12 step program.
Matt has a treo for work and I have always found it slow and hard to use. When my old, and I mean OLD, iPod died, Matt decided to get me this since I already was on AT&T and could easily switch over.
Now, it goes everywhere with me. I love the fact that I can easily check my email, surf the web, watch a movie, check the weather, talk to friends, and listen to my music. My only concern with it was this - I am a klutz (or at least I used to be) when it comes to phones. Let’s just say with something like this, I treat it like a baby, with a special protective sleeve and everything to keep it safe from me.
The thing I like most about it, however, is this… the camera. It takes great pictures that I can quickly and easily email to myself. It is also great because I can take the kids everywhere I go. So, as I pack for CHA, I know that the boys and their cute faces will be with me the whole time, as well as the chance to quickly call them and say hello. I also get to see my Fiskateer friends everytime it rings -the main picture is from San Antonio of all the orange hats!
As Ferris once said, “If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.”
PS - to add fuel to the fire, I got iTunes cards for Christmas, allowing me to download more music… other than the phone itself, I feel that the iTunes gift card has to be the greatest invention ever…. music to go instantly downloadable. Wow.
Sorry for the weird post - sometimes my inner tech geek just comes out!

February 28th, 2008 at 5:58 pmMy husband works for Apple and has one too. He loves it and always uses it. It is great to have on trips to help navigate and all kinds of stuff. He keeps trying to get me to get one, and I haven’t found the need yet, but I just might soon.

February 28th, 2008 at 6:48 pmI would love to have one too. I have a pretty decent cell phone, but the i phone is SO wonderful. My two bosses have it, and one of them is constantly showing me neat stuff about it, not in a braggy way, but just is. It is such a terriffic invention and the phone feature is really just a bonus. Yes - I do really, really want one.

February 28th, 2008 at 6:52 pmI love mine soooo much! I got it for Christmas and am so happy! It kept me sane while waiting for my car to get fixed (we know how long auto shops like to take), I watched TV shows on the long plane ride to CHA, I can email anyone anywhere. I’m sooo in love.

I’ve been using my Dash camera phone a lot lately; they’re handy, and it’s kind of nice not lugging the BIG UGLY BLACK BAG around. Remember my ugly bag? LOL

February 29th, 2008 at 1:47 amI am very tempted to get one. I still have about 9 months or so on my Verizon contract, but when that is up, I may be jumping on the wagon. My MIL has one and it is really fun. Enjoy!

February 29th, 2008 at 2:16 amDH got one for Xmas, and an itunes card, too! He said it takes him forever to select what he wants to purchase. And I am a huge klutz with my phone, plus our 3 year old thinks she has an all-access pass to it, so I refused the iphone when dh nearly insisted on me getting one. Nut! That’s the last thing I need! No one would ever see me again! I am so impressed with the photos it takes, too!

February 29th, 2008 at 10:58 amI don’t think I’m ready for an I-phone. My cell is pretty old, and as far as I know, I don’t even have text messaging. It’s the right one for me. Sometimes I think it’s a throwback to the old days for me. DH built computers and I programed them for years. When we moved onto our sailboat and headed for Mexico, we just left technology behind. It felt good then and still does, even though I’ll admit I’m almost up to date again. To help you understand, just imagine 11 years without hearing a telephone ring.

February 29th, 2008 at 1:32 pmEverytime I hear “iPhone” all I can think of is the Hannah Montana episode (my girls are big HM fans!) where Hannah wants a new “z phone”…hee hee! Yes, we spend too much time on the Disney channel! I love techie “toys” too, and it’s on my “someday” list….
