First of all, Happy Valentine’s Day! As many of you know, recently I asked for your suggestions for somewhere to go and crop and spread some fiskateer love June 19-21. I was totally overwhelmed by your response- and I went through and considered each one. I wish I had more time (and money!) to travel to each place and hang with you all.
I’ve decided on my location for June 19-21. I will be in St. Paul, MN. I’ll be doing some crops and things at the Scrapbook Shop with Rhonda, her crew, and many fiskateers I hope! I’ll be working out my crop and workshops over the next few weeks, and I hope to have registration open before March 10. One of the great things about this? Minnesota will get some demonstrator training sessions direct from me! That’s right- as a part of my visit I will hold 1 or 2 Certified Demonstrator trainings. So if you’re in MN (or willing to travel to St. Paul area) and want to be the first to know about the activities e-mail me so I can keep you posted.
If you’re not in the area- know that I’ll be hosting a ROCKIN crop right here on the site as well. Oh yeah- and do you like those goodies in the photo? It’s my valentine gift for one of you. Just leave your comment here- I’ll pick a winner on Tuesday when I come back. (taking a long weekend from blogging…)

It has little expectation so it’s not an overly stressful holiday and it’s a holiday to celebrate love–what could be better. It was always a big deal in my family and actually had little to do with romantic love and everything to do with showing family and friends how much you care. Making cards, picking out little gifts, and making sure everyone you care about feels loved is the most important part of the holiday according to family tradition. Even now, while I dote on Scott the most, I still send little gifts to mom, and cards and trinkets to friends. My grandparents often sent me flowers when I was a kid, and I’ll never forget the day in high school that I received a whole basket full of flowers from my Nana. It made me feel so special, especially since I rarely had boyfriends, and certainly didn’t have any who would do something like that. I am so grateful that my family has always been completely nuts over holidays. It’s a great legacy!
