December 26th…

is a great day. I love the day after Christmas. Before the kids were born, I would join the hordes of people at the stores for early deals and cheap Christmas decorations, wrapping, etc… for next year. Having kids, however, has changed my day-after tradition, and to be honest, I love the new one!
(Matt had to work today - sorry hon…) We slept until 7:00 (which is sleeping-in in this house), got up, played with the new toys, and at 11:30, we are still in our jammies. Watching the boys play and enjoy their new gifts has been a blast. Sitting back and seeing how excited they still are is great. Their imaginations are amazing and I truly enjoy days like today.
So, I wish you all a happy day-after Christmas… may it be filled with cheap wrapping paper, laughter, smiles, and some fun family time. May the rest of your week be jolly and bright!

December 26th, 2007 at 3:30 pmHa! If my kids sleep in, it’s 10am here! Yes, I do realize I am extremely lucky =).
That is by far the coolest toy kitchen I have ever seen! And I see you have found some of those cool IKEA plate/bowl/cup sets. We have lots of those all over the house. DS, 18 months, goes in his drawer and takes them out to play with.
And PlayDoh; how can you ever go wrong with PlayDoh? Happy kids are FUN!

December 26th, 2007 at 7:14 pmLooks like they had a lot of fun,
glad I don’t have to clean up after the PlayDoh though. It’s a great thing to play with, just always hated cleaning up afterwards. Glad you 3 had such a fun day. Love you.

December 26th, 2007 at 7:33 pmI had fun spending my scrappy money. But Christmas is not quite over with for us. Jim’s parents and sister are coming for a three day visit to celebrate Christmas. They’ll be here tomorrow…so the celebration continues.

December 26th, 2007 at 11:50 pmWell we shipped the little one off to day care so that hubby and I could hit the mail for some post-Christmas shopping…but alas, the store shelves were bare!
So we grabbed lunch and caught a movie….a nice, unexpected date!

December 27th, 2007 at 1:02 amI’m like you and used to go to the Boxing Day sales pre kids, now I’m more than content to spend a quiet Boxing Day at home. How I miss my girls being this young - mind you at 10 and 12 they do still get the playdoh out every now and then
BTW that would have to be coolest kitchen playset I have ever seen! Enjoy the rest of your day

December 27th, 2007 at 1:42 amI stayed home and just rested up from all the days leading up to Christmas and Christmas itself. We had a wonderful time with our new Granddaughter and today I just played with my new toy. A Cricut Expressions!! Boy was I surprised.
I think you having a day to play with your boys and their new things is a wonderful tradition for the day after to have. Savor the moments.
