My favorite memory of this month was spending the first day of my son’s senior year at high school with him.
I remembered his first day of kindergarten and how scared he was and how his backpack was so huge on his little body.
Now, as we walked into the school, he at a good foot taller than me, I was the one who was scared. He can now pre-enlist in the Navy, which is what he is going to do.
He was the one telling me that everything will be okay.

my favorite memory from this month was doing our annual back-to-school- shopping outing with my DD, her BF, her BF’s sister & mom!!! we always have such a great time & this year my DD had a summer job & she bought her clothes with her own money. My favorite memory this month is the time that I got to spend with my children before they went back to school. Going on little walks, having them come in and snuggle me when it was too hot to play outside, and helping them get their rooms straightened and organized after a summer of letting things go a bit. :)

My favorite memory this month was an evening out with my DH for our 12 anniversary. We were in Niagara Falls visiting my sister and her family and they kept the kids while we went out for supper and an evening by ourselves. We ate on the patio of a restaurant on Fallsview avenue and enjoyed the falls while we ate.

  21. Marlene says:

This month we tried to go see Thomas with our two little boys who are crazy about anything trains. Thomas is in town for 5 days only and there was only 1 day that was free for us. Of course, it was pouring rain, but like good parents we packed the umbrellas, raincoats and zip off pants and headed out. It takes an hour to get there and when we get to town we know it’s not a good sign that there are people in the middle of the road talking to all the cars. Then we a see it–a big sign that says “Day Out with Thomas CANCELLED” due to flooding! Cancelled. Now what–2 hysterical boys who wanted to see Thomas. Mommy acted quickly and suggested a Children’s museum that we had only been to once. We had the best time there and the boys haven’t asked about going to see Thomas since!

As always, we postponed, but… the following Sunday, we went to a local bar I had heard about to have tacos. It was a fun place, not loud or barish feeling at all, and the tacos were great!. Is this your normal anniversary dinner? No, but I’ll remember it forever. (DH had suggested Red Lobster and he NEVER wants to spend that much)
