At The Beach

I am currently sitting in my car with my laptop resting on the steering wheel so can write this blog. I am spending the week in the Outer Banks of North Carolina at a beatiful beach house with my new husband and my new family. And there isn’t an internet connection to be found except for the one I found in the parking lot of Food Lion which, by the way, is very slow and cost me $6.99 for an hour so this may be the only blog from the beach.
I was going to announce the last winner of the ‘14 Fiskateer Winners’ blog, but I had such an overwhelming response I’m going to add a few more winners and save the announcement until I get home from the beach. I’ll be sending all of the packages out as soon as I get home.
We have been relaxing by the pool, flying kites on the beach, and playing lots of games. I, of course, have been taking tons of pictures and I can already see the finshed scrapbook pages in my head. Does that ever happen to you?
Have a wonderful week everyone!

May 29th, 2007 at 11:39 amHope you are having a restful week. It certainly is the type of weather that calls for a trip to the beach.
I find now days that when I take pics I can’t wait to look at them and decide which one’s to scrap. With the ease of a digital camera you can browse and automatically some pics scream scrap me! lol
Have a great week!

May 29th, 2007 at 11:44 amHolly, sounds like you are having a perfectly wonderful time! Just the way it should be for a newly-wed.
The photo of your prize packages reminds me of my favorite Christmas song…”Brown paper packages tied up with string, these are a few of my favorite things.” Here’s hoping…
And I agree with you, I love it when I’m taking photos and I can see scrapbook pages forming! What’s worse is when you buy a PP and dress you DD up to match. =)
Have a Great week!

May 29th, 2007 at 6:02 pmSounds lovely there! It has been beautiful here in Raleigh, so I imagine it’s even nicer on the coast. Which city are you in. Nag’s Head is where we usually go. They allow dogs on the beach there. Our dogs love to travel with us and vice versa. No vacation is quite as fun without them.

May 29th, 2007 at 9:04 pmI often will have layouts in my head and sometimes I wake up suddenly and frantically grab for my sketch book and DH thinks I’m crazy but when you wake up with a sketch you have to sketch it down or you could lose that valuable piece of creativity!!
