~ Who is Your Scrapbook Inspiration? ~

When I ask myself this question so many people come to mind.  I love all different styles of scrap design but tend to be partial to Shabby Chic.  I appreciate so many artists and their style.  The list can go on and on of those artists that I appreciate but here are a few artists I adore . . . Jennifer Jensen, Maggie Holmes, Maria Grace Abuzman, Tina Barriscale, Rhonna Farrer, Heidi Swapp, Elsie Flannigan, Tia Bennett, Rachel Ludwig, Teri Fode, Christy Tomlinson, Jenni Bowlin, Tim Holtz, Kelly Anderson, Karen Russell, and Danelle Johnson just to name a few.  I’ve had the blessing of meeting many of these wonderful ladies and gentlemen and not only are they talented but great people.

Stay tuned the next couple of months . . . some of these folks may be visiting the Fiskateer blog.

You know you Fiskateers inspire me as well.  I love viewing the gallery.  Each of you have a unique and special style that you display in your layouts and books.

Who is your inspiration?  Special websites?

I just love looking at what everyone posts here! Such great work! As for those that I turn to when I need some extra inspiration…Stacy Julian and Becky Higgins–love their simple styles. And of course, sometimes just pulling out some of my favorite Heidi Grace stuff is inspiration enough! =)

Hi Cheryl! This is a wonderful topic! I am inspired by so many people, Cathy Zielske, Lisa M Space; Heidi Swapp, Ali Edwards and Shimelle… so many Fiskateers, you, Paula, Debbie and so many other! We are so blessed to have such a wonderful bunch of people that inspire us daily!!

I really don’t have a ‘favorite’. If I see a LO that I like, I write down what I liked about it. If I am looking for inspiration, I usually look at the gallery here and on other sites. Sometimes I see colors I like, others it’s the way an embellishment was used. I never know what is going to ‘inspire’ me.

I only started to really define my own scrapbooking style. The three designers who inspired me in finding it are Stacy Julian, Ali Edwards and Jamie Waters. They make me want to scraplift every page they make! :)

There have been many over the years as I played and tried to find “my” style IYKWIM. I’m very much a clean and simple scrapper but love looking at all styles because you never know just what little techniques or tricks you can pick up to incorporate in those clean and simple pages :)

Having said that I think the biggest inspirations have been Cathy Zielske, Becky Higgins (yes I’m a sketch junkie) and Lisa Bearnson. I will also add that Rebecca Sower has totally inspired me to think outside the norm of the basic who, what, when, where and why - she’s inspired me to dig deeper than I would have thought :)

I find that my scrapbooking style is pretty much my own. I find my inspiration in the papers, products as well as the photo’s. I do get inspiration from blogs, 2peas gallery and recently discovered Sherelle Christensen’s blog which I enjoy. I also enjoy Fiskars TV, Fiskateers Gallery and Craft TV weekly. I love 3D projects and creating mini albums. I feel that I’ve come a long way from when I first started and only hope to continue to improve. I know that my son & my family enjoys the pages, cards & mini books I have done. My niece’s have named my books “tear-jerkers” as no matter what I seem to create for them, they end up in tears.

Thanks Cheryl for sending out some inspiration. I love Anna Griffin, Heidi Grace, Heidi Swapp and so many others. I love seeing all the work in the Fiskateer gallery too. There are many talented people in this group that’s for sure. Inspiration can come from the simplest thing for me such as a beautiful flower blooming on a cactus, watching my pets just to name a couple.

I’m really inspired by Ali Edwards and Wilna Furstenberg (first MMIdol) plus everyone here on Fiskateers.
I think everyone can inspire everyone else just alittle…..even if they are not your style. Sometimes an idea on someone’s page or project will fuel an idea for your own style.

I have no problem thinking of my inspiration, it was my great-grandmother, MeMe. She bought me a huge scrapbook back in the 1950,s. Then she provided me with old calenders, magazines, Childrens papers, all my Sunday School papers, and I was started on a love of scrapbooking from the age of 4. What a blessing she was, and is.
