3 fiskateers: Paisley

3 fiskateers image2.jpg When the new CHA products from Heidi Grace started arriving I noticed that there is a lot of paisley in her getting places collections. Hmmm… I’m not so good with paisley. I wonder what the 3 fiskateers could do with some paisley paper, stickers, and chipboard?

Let’s see, shall we?

paisly frame.jpg paisley frame 2.jpg Chrys Rose created this simple and beautiful frame using paisley paper and glittery paisley stickers as leaves. I love that she thought of making them into leaves for her large silk flower, and what a great gift this would make. What’s her secret for paisley? Chrys says “Don’t be afraid to use it!  Cut it up, use it in large or small quanities it will do wonders on your project!”

erin4.jpg  erin3.jpg  erin2.jpg  erin1.jpg Erin Yamabe used a 6×6 canvas to create this fold-out book for her daughter. I especially love her cool accent made of the various chipboard paisley pieces, and how she combined abc stickers, paper, and paisley accents together in a way that does not overwhelm the simple beauty of this project.

melita page.jpg  Melita Chow captured this precious photo of her with her son and used the soft blue and yellow paisley along with heidi grace word stickers to finish it off. I like how she used the paisley paper in small strips at the top and bottom, and used paisleys as corner accents to tie it all together.

I don’t know about you, but I’m going to give designing with paisley another chance. These three ladies did a great job, and I’m totally inspired by each one of their unique projects! If you’d like to win a few paisley goodies of your own leave a comment here- I’ll be drawing a winner in a few days!

Wow, love that frame. All three projects make using paisley look so easy. I’ve seen it all over but have been scared to use it since it seems like it would be easy to overdo it. I think I might give it a bit of a try.

    Wow great ideas!!

I love everyones ideas. Very creative. I have done a few things with paisley myself when I did my India album.

Paisley is soooo versitile. If you get the right colours you could do a page for a guy/boy/baby boy soooo easily!

I like the downtown collection by cloud9 they have paisley in that. ;)
