Tea Time

I have an undisclosed passion - tea…  Now, unlike other Fiskateers, I don’t have an afternoon tea time each day - I have more of an, ooohhhh I have 3 free minutes, let me make tea and chug it really quick…  Well, normally that’s how it goes.  Lately, however, I have noticed something.  My kids are getting older.  How does this relate, you might ask?  They play independently…  I have sometimes have a whole 10 minutes of uninterrupted time, when they aren’t fighting, that I can use to make and drink (actually enjoy slowly…) my tea.

This is a passion that started as a kid when my mom would set the pitcher out on the porch to make sun tea in the summer.  I remember watching the light brown slowly flow throughout the water in the jug, waiting for it to be “done.”  Once I was in college, I found that hot tea was somewhat calming after a long day and helped when I had a cold…  This new found love of hot tea led to a large collection of nice china tea cups and such.  Then, of course, I started trying tea not in a Lipton bag or box… loose tea (oooohhhhh…. fancy……)  Now, it is something I enjoy and look forward to.  Time to sit back, on the couch, with a nice warm reminder of comfort.

Anyway, this leads me to Teavana, this new, well not new, but new to me, place at the mall that sells very nice loose teas.  I am currently addicted and can’t go near the place without being sucked in.  Because of this, I decided that this was a bit worth scrapping - a bit of an AAM page mixed with a favorite things flair - what I love right now (besides my kids… sometimes, it is nice to scrap about other stuff, too - no offense boys…).

This is what I am loving right now - so I just thought I would share it with you…  Okay, I have tea to drink…

I’m convinced that you’ve got to me my long lost twin! Fisrt Pannera Bread and now Teavana! I currently have 12 different tin canisters of Teavana teas sitting on my kitchen shelves plus a huge tin of their german rock cane sugar! Thank you so much for the TEA-riffic page idea to scraplift.

Although I don’t share you passion for tea, I can appreciate ‘me time’. I am glad you have found a store where you can get your favorite beverage. Thanks for sharing this beautiful LO with us. The colors you chose go so well with the tea theme. TFS!
PS That looks like one serious tea mug. LOL.

Hooray, lots of tea addicts like me. I drink it throughout the day. The best tea, in my opinion, comes from Samovar in San Francisco. Lavender Mint is wonderful, but the magnolia blossom is to die for. Anything floral is my passion, violets being my favorite flavor in the world. :)
    Beautiful page!

After giving coffee up for Lent, I can say that I think tea is seriously underrated! I’ve really come to enjoy tea over the last month. So cool that you scrapped your passion for tea and a favorite place!
