Recovering…

Hello all!  I know that I have been unusually quiet this week - sorry!  I have been recovering from CHA and the week just kinda got away from me!

I did want to tell you about Friday night - I went to the Scrapbooking Lodge in Elgin for their 29 hour crop.  It starts Friday night at 6:00 and goes until 11:00 on Saturday night…  This sounded like so much fun to me.  However, by 3:15 am I was in the car heading home.  The next time they do it, I will try to survive the whole thing.  I had left Matt with the kids last weekend and just needed to be home with them and to have some family time, so I left after doing a 2:00 am make-n-take.  I do have to say, around 1:00 am I found my stride and was just getting warmed up!  I did a few layouts and had lots of fun chatting with my tablemates and even got to help give away some prizes!

One of the great things was that I got to work on some pages for our family album.  I used these giant alpha chipboard letters from MM for the one page, along with paper and embellishments from Wild Asparagus.  On the other page I tried out something new, and by far, one of the coolest new things I’ve used - sewing rub-ons from Die Cuts with a View.  I didn’t have to try to use my sewing machine - YEAH!!!  They were super easy and look great!  That page also includes Foof-a-La buttons and a library card.  What fun!

From the looks of things, I am not the only busy one this past weekend…  I hope you all had a great one and that you have a good week, too!

Scrap your love…
