My day in “the garage”

suzy.jpgclose up.jpgclass.jpg

Ok, I’m exhausted! But I wanted to post and say how much fun I had today. I taught a mini-book (Cloud 9) class and also a fun Cloud 9 make n take at Suzy West’s place in Fremont. She’s got a store inside her garage- and I must say she really packs in the FUN (and new products)!!! She is so super sweet and a totally fantastic hostess. She made me feel like one of the gang, and even gave me a present for teaching at her store! How sweet is that? I can only imagine how much fun one of her crops is!

Everyone in class was so fantastic, fun, and way nice. We got to play with the Fiskars drill (if you don’t already have one- contact Suzy and she’ll ship it to you!) and have lots of creative fun. I am sure I’ll be heading back to the garage to crop and have fun with all the super nice, fun, and talented ladies. So thanks Bay Area Scrappers for making me feel so welcome, and being such a fun bunch!!!! =)

Have a super fantastic weekend!!!

P.S.- They are having a HUGE anniversary event you locals don’t want to miss (Oct. 1). While I can’t be there (dang it!) I will be sending a goodie bag for a special give away. By then they’ll have a TON of new Heidi Grace and Cloud 9… I can hardly wait!

May, your class was awesome! I came home and was soo inspired and continued to work on my mini book. I couldn’t believe I have a whole album already done in 1 day… totally unthinkable. I love working with the drill.. who would’ve thought i’d be using a tool only my husband could own??!!hehe.;-) I sure had a blast this afternoon. Thanks for teaching and for bringing the cool stuff for us to use. Take care and be safe on the LOONNNGGGG drive back!

Hello, May! I would like to let you know how much I appreciate you coming to Suzy’s Garage and teaching a wonderful and fun class. I’m so amazed at this mini album that we made. It was so easy especially with the help of a super cool teacher like you. My dh thinks that it looked really complicated and couldn’t believe that I did it all in one afternoon. He was even proud of me when I told him that I actually used a drill to make the holes. It’s such a nice tool! Also, loved the neat embellishments that you shared with the class.
The make-and-take was an added and sweet surprise.
Thank you again for a great class, I learned so much. Hopefully, you can come and teach us again soon.

May, thank you so much for coming to the garage and teaching us a new techique. I love all the new cloud 9 products. When I look at mini books like that I think that they are so hard and time consuming that I would not be able to creat one, but you proved me wrong. Thank you soooo much, the class was not only informative but fun as well, you are the best. I can’t wait until your next class :) .

    Always Nelana

May, thank you so much for the wonderful class. I, too, was so inspired that I worked on it last night and just finished it this morning. It is so cute - and one of the few times I put together a whole book in such a short time. I’m so happy to have something to show people now (it was on my kitten Gracie) instead of telling people that I have hundreds of pictures of her but they are all on my computer! You are a great teacher and you were so generous with the products we were able to use to finish the book. That really meant a lot! Oh, and I can’t wait to buy some of those items - they were so much fun to use. Many thanks!

I so wish I would have been able to join you in the garage. I think it sounds like fun! And that drill… sigh. I’m dreaming of the drill. I’ve started saving CD’s so that I can drill through them. Alyssa doesn’t believe me when I tell her that the Fiskars drill can do that! I can’t wait to prove her wrong. She already told me that if the drill can do that, then she wants to make a CD album. The girl has little faith, but BIG dreams!

  15. Mayra Romero says:

Hi May! Thanks for the wonderful class you taught! I enjoyed using the drill & it truly is amazingly easy! I love the mini album too. It is so darn stinking cute!!!

    Hello May,

The class was fun and the little book is so cute. I was so happy to have a finished product when
I left (sans photos)! Thanks for the cute idea and all the embellishment choices to choose from — that was a treat!

    Take care.

    Hi May,
It was nice meeting you last Saturday. Thanks so much for teaching us how to play with that new Awesome tool from Fiskars. I love the mini-book and got so inspired that I worked on it still the next day and finished it! Totally cool and now ready to give to my Mom as a gift—it contained pics of all her grandkids.

    Thanks again!
