Big Day

So today was a big day.  We celebrated Jacob’s baptism and then had a party combined with Owen to celebrate his 2nd birthday.  This meant two cakes, two sets of decorations, and two rounds of opening gifts.  I guess that I just didn’t want them to feel slighted.  However, the rational part of me knew that neither one would remember anything, so I am not sure why I worried about it…  I guess every mom just wants to make sure each of their children feels special, which makes me no different.

Planning this and trying to scrap Friday night made for only a little sleep.  I’ve been dying to scrap since we got back from Madison, but real life (kids and work) set in and Friday was the first chance I had.  Now, only a few hours of sleep later, I’m so glad I went.  I needed that break to create and just socialize in order to find myself again.  I swear, an hour of crafting has to be better than, I would guess, months of therapy.  It centers me, anyway.  It was nice, too, to get out and meet new people.  I met some great girls, saw some beautiful pages, and had a great time.  Only during scrapbooking does time fly by at the speed of light.  And, again, to my new friends that I met in Downers Grove, I apologize for singing out loud along with the piped in Top 10 music.  I am no Gwen Stefani, but often forget and sing along.  Anyway, time to crash…

Do you scrap your love?  I do…
